(it's easiest if you do it from a browser signed in to google on a computer)

Google Groups is low-volume + announce-only for events.

If you send a message to the group a moderator will have to approve it. (Those who regularly host events will be set to unmoderated.) The group is not for chatter or socialization - join our facebook group for that!

The only reason to post to this group is to publicize group related events.

Any other emails, for other purposes will be denied by a moderator to avoid email overload - no offense! It is NOT a place for musicians to post their gigs. It is not a place to publicize bar gigs. It is for house concerts, wake-n-bakes, and jams, etc. This group's purpose is to replace the commercial ($$) mailer we are using currently.

Signing in to google groups:

go to groups.google.com 

If you land at a login screen like this either log in, or click "create account" to create a google groups account. If you are already logged in, hit the join link below.

Then, join the group here:
groups.google.com/g/railmusic

After you join the group, the group will be listed in your groups.

Most people will only ever receive emails from the group about events. Once you get signed up the emails should just roll into your inbox and you shouldn't need to worry about signing in to groups again, unless your email address changes or you want to leave the group.
