COUNSELING:

CST/SST Update

There are two remaining CST meetings of the school year - one this coming Tuesday (grade 6) and one on May 21 (grade 7). Stay tuned for an agenda and notes relating to the student of concern, if you teach the student. At this week’s SST meeting, the agenda will focus on learning support needs of current grade 6 and 7 students planning to return next year. Those currently receiving the learning support will be reviewed and those students currently not receiving support but have been flagged as perhaps needing it next year will also be discussed. Please note that Michael C might be reaching out to you for input to help inform the recommendations he shares with the SST.

REPEAT: Transition Sessions for Departing Students

We aim to provide transitioning students (those leaving or being left) with support and an opportunity to process and plan for the upcoming changes. We also will recognize departing students during our last ‘regular’ MS assembly on either Tuesday, May 21 or Tuesday May, 28. On Monday, May 27 we will distribute the AES T-shirts that departing students are invited to have their friends sign with sharpies. For those interested to read and reflect more about the transition process for yourself and/or your students, we invite you to read the article posted here. And we welcome your thoughts and suggestions.
