Library Report

Preston Hot Springs Town-County Library

1. Services to the Public: There will be no Knit Wit on Fridays for the month of May. Paper crafts start at 1pm on Saturdays. Materials are provided. Friday April 18, 2025 Mark Cometti will be at the library to talk about spring planting 1pm. The book discussion group will discuss The Reckoning by John Grisham Thursday April 17, 2025.

2. Collections: We are tentatively planning to do inventory the week starting April 14, 2025.

3. Technology: Nothing new to report.

General Administrative Business: We are set to collect 60 to 70 chairs from North Lake Public Library in Polson the week of April 21, 2025. We have ordered an 8.3’ x 8.3’ building from Costco to contain excess indoor chairs and the chairs we use for outdoor events. These purchases are made possible by a grant from The Montana Community Foundation.

We have posted for a library trustee opening. Prospective trustees need to live within city limits and fill out a form of interest, available at the library. Posting closes May 20, 2025.

The library board will meet at the library Wednesday April 16, 2025 at 5pm for their monthly meeting.
