Hello. We want to make sure you are aware of the following Class of 2024 Senior Activities. Attendance at all Senior Activities is based on positive attendance and behavior. You must also have your signed Senior Contract returned to either Ms. Leung or Ms. Hazel BEFORE you will be allowed to attend any senior event.

Prom: 

• Date: Saturday, May 11
• Location: Donworth Event Center
• Time: 7:00 PM -11 PM
• How to purchase tickets?  

• Sold every Monday, Thursday & Fridays at lunch

• The week of April 15th - Apr 26, 2024tickets will be sold at $95 for one and $180 for two.
• The week of April 29th - May 10th tickets will be sold at $100 for one and $190 for two.

• Get permission slip & behavior guidelines in room 128. Mandatory slips in order to purchase a ticket

Senior Trip:

• Date: Friday, May 23
• Location: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
• Time: 8:30 - 6:00 pm (Leaving Santa Cruz at 5:00 pm)
• Cost:

• $120 per student
• Includes:

• Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk - Unlimited All Day Rides
• Lunch (All you can eat & drink)
• A private area
• Bus Transportation

Graduation Rehearsal:

• Date: Wednesday May 29 (MANDATORY)
• Location: Academy Field
• Time: 11:20 AM - 1:20 PM

**Note: You must attend rehearsal to receive tickets and cap & gown. Email Ms. Leung (leungo@sfusd.edu) or call her at 628-900-2799 if you cannot attend.

Caps and Gowns/Tickets Distribution:

• Date: Wednesday May 29
• Location: After rehearsal
• Tickets: 8 tickets will be given to each family. No additional tickets will be provided.
• Caps: Seniors are permitted to decorate their caps.

• Please be sure that your decorations are appropriate for the occasion --avoid inappropriate language, symbols, profanity, and references to drugs or alcohol. Caps not meeting the guidelines above will be replaced on graduation day.
• Caps are worn flat and low across the forehead. Plan hairstyles accordingly. Hairpins might help.
• Tassels start out on the right.

• Gowns: Take your gown out of the plastic bag a few days in advance. Hang it by the shower to steam or iron on low. Gowns will melt if you iron on high!

Locker Cleanout:

Chromebook/Charger Collection:

• Date: Wednesday, May 29
• Location: Front of school
• Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Senior Responsibilities:

• Before Graduation: Please be certain to clear out lockers, pay all fees (library, athletics, etc), and return all chromebook, textbooks and library books.
• Senior Clearance Form Due on Friday, May 31

• Ms. Leung will hand out the form in class on 5/22

DAY OF GRADUATION: 

• Date: Wednesday June 5
• Location: Jerry Garcia Amphitheater/ John F Shelley Drive in John McLaren Park
• Arrival Time: 2:30 PM
• Ceremony: 3 PM -4 PM
• Jerry Garcia Amphitheater must be cleared in time for the next ceremony: 4:30 PM

• Parking: Limited parking in the lot with attendants. Free street parking.

• Graduation is a ticketed event. If you cannot attend graduation in person the ceremony will be livestreamed. Open this link.
• We would like for the graduation ceremonies to be held with the utmost respect for our graduates. The following items are not allowed at any ceremony:

• No balloons, air horns, vuvuzelas, confetti/confetti cannons, or fireworks
• No animals with the exception of certified service animals
• No food/beverages/alcohol (except drinking water)
• Please be prepared to have your bags checked upon arrival.

Lifetouch Photography at Graduation

• Lifetouch will take two photos of each student: handshake receiving the diploma crossing the stage and a posed portrait after receiving the diploma.
• Text the code ( 314162GY24 ) to access those photos to 90738*

Senior Final Transcript Request

All seniors will receive an email to their SFUSD email accounts in May that includes information on how to request final transcripts to be sent to colleges/universities.

• Seniors can request up to 2 transcripts to be sent electronically to colleges for free.
• If a student needs more than 2 transcripts, students can request additional transcripts for a fee.

K2C (Kindergarten to College):
