7th Grade Weekly Overview!

February 12-16, 2024

Course

Teacher

Here is what’s happening this week!

ELA

Caroline Scerbin

EQ: Why do I see and understand things the way that I do?

This week we practiced our CER writing with a choice of themes from “Monsters,” and then followed-up with some comparison readings (poetry, three articles) and then another FISHBOWL!

The essential question that guided us this week was: Why do people follow what others do? We will be focusing on this question for our Fishbowl Discussion.

This unit explores how we perceive and interpret the information around us. We will be examining what being media literate means, and how to think critically about what we see and read online and on social media.
