Ravyn’s paws dug into the dirt, unearthing the scents around him from the lands of Zolkanis. Earthy scents clung to his claws, between fresh dirt, proof of running water, and even faint melding of scents like zigzori fur left behind and the soft down of growing plumed hogfliers. Must be the right direction, especially while trying to stay far from anything like a caped wyvern.

The foliage looked untouched at a glance and no trees sharing the brunt of being a wyvern’s scratching post. The lands of the Wyvern’s Heart spoke nothing but beauty into the charcoal toa’s hardened heart, though feeding oneself should probably be more important than remembering how pretty an environment could be. The wild flowers brimmed with life, even. The land doesn’t just look untouched but untouched for a little while. Foraging up something to eat for the night and avoiding becoming wyvern food might just be the best bet here. No coin lining any kind of pockets and having just ran out? Not faring well so far, but Ravyn won’t starve.

“All of this just for a decent meal. I haven’t eaten right in days..” He started grumbling to himself passively, forcing his paws to open up bushes and foliage for him to peer into, not finding much than a couple of half eaten fruits. “It’s something..” he sighed, picking up the half eaten fruits and finishing the rest, some of his chest fur dotted with the fruit juice as it spills from his muzzle.

He walked for what felt like hours, the sun now resting heavy and hot against his darkened fur. He approached a small clearing, surrounded by wild flowers and longer reeds of fresh grasses, seeing a figure laying on the dirt and unmoving as their green furs get gathered by the breeze, rippling across their rather large form. As Rayvn stepped closer, they lifted their head as a giant red horn can now be comfortably seen adorned to the stranger’s face.

“Mind if I sit with you?” Ravyn asked, tail swishing behind him as his body lurches to a halt. The ryno before him sitting alert with their ears upright and listening to any word and any movement Ravyn dares to show. “I’m hot, I’m exhausted. I just need a place to rest for a moment, then I’ll be out of your feathers.” Ravyn added, his voice carrying some light gravel with it as he spoke, his amber orange gaze unwavering as they rest on this pale, long furred, and almost.. Ghastly figure.

“I’m not bothered, stranger. Come sit, We can become friends before long.” Imorys smiled, nodding briefly as they inched to sit up, a small crater being formed where they laid. Ravyn nodded in return, taking a seat next to them with a sigh of relief, curling his tail around his body and resting over his paws, looking outward over the lands he’s been walking across for a few days now.

“Thanks.” Ravyn cooed softly, looking over with a bowed head. A small gesture of appreciation.

“How long have you been here? In Zolkanis, I mean. You don’t look native to here.” Ravyn asked, a soft snicker brimming from them as he watched the clouds inching over the sky.

Imorys laughed, a soft snort rippling through their nostrils. “Native? No- not to here. You haven’t gained my trust enough for that one. Good eye, though. I actually ended up here from the Viridian tangle. Been walking quite awhile, ended up on a balloon and ended up here.”

“Wow, ended up here by chance? Lucky you.” Ravyn laughed further. “Got any good tips for surviving out here? I’ve been getting by on scraps.. As unfortunate as that might be.” Ravyn added on. “Though you look equally as empty handed as me so.. Maybe you’re not the best one to ask, huh?” Ravyn chuffed out anothe brief laugh, nudging the back leg of the bigger ketucari.

“Aye- Yeah, I have nothing to my name here. Sorry about that, friend.” Imorys giggled furher, kicking at Ravyn softly with the soft tap.

The two sat and talked for an extra 20 minutes or so before Ravyn stood up.

“Well, good luck to you. Keep safe, eat well. Maybe we’ll meet again?” Ravyn smiled, looking over their shoulder as the ryno seemed to stand up as well, facing the other direction.

“Imorys. If it was meant to be, I’ll see you again, yeah? Don’t be a stranger~” The ryno dipped in shades of a ghostly emerald finally started to walk off, not leaving much room for a proper introduction.

“Ravyn. Goodluck.”
