Students will have an opportunity to experience the daily teamwork, problem solving, and management required for different stages of a construction project.

Whitson Engineers, Monterey, CA

WHITSON ENGINEERS is a general civil engineering and land surveying firm, founded in 1979, concentrating on residential and commercial land development and governmental engineering services. The firm's projects are located primarily in Monterey, Los Angeles, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties, and a vital part of the firm's goals is to continue to provide services specific to these areas. In 2002, we opened our Southern California office to serve our expanding client base with quality engineering services.  In May 2007, we opened a third office in Santa Cruz County. Our Santa Cruz County office is conveniently located for our Santa Cruz area and Santa Clara County clients.

ENGEO provides services in geotechnical engineering, geology, environmental engineering, water resources, stormwater management, and land development. Sift Science uses machine learning to identify and protect against online fraud and abuse. Students will be paired with a host engineer as they go about their work. A typical day will involve some combination of coding, meetings, debugging, lunch with the team, etc.
