        Students, Black History Month is vastly approaching, and South Garner is holding its first fashion show (The Lavish) on February 14th and it’s first Black History Month Celebration (Extravagance) on February 28th. If you would like to participate, auditions will be held for dancers, models, hosts, actors and singers on December 10th, 11th and 12th during Titan Time! Please use the QR code posted in the hallways or sign up in the front of Mr. Pulley, Ms. Overdiep, Mr. Standifer, Ms. Goodson, Ms. Emilcar or Ms. Knight’s room at the end of the day today.         Let’s give a shout out to our South Garner Choral Department for having 5 students selected for the All Carolina 9th and 10th Grade Honor Choir, which is the highest honor that these choral students can receive in the state of North Carolina. SGHS came in 3rd with the most students out of all schools in the state. Congratulations to Anye Fuqua, Peyton Thompson, Peyton Bowditch, Jason Johnson and David Hunte!

        Listen up! Tomorrow is Purple Out day so show up with your Titan Pride!

        Attention Students: ID cards will not be handed out today. We will resume handing them out tomorrow. Anyone who has taken a picture, but has not received an ID card this week, will get one tomorrow during lunch.

 

        We are having a home wrestling match today against Apex friendship at 6 p.m.

        Beginning Monday, Titan Ambassadors will be selling Candy Grams during all 3 lunches. Candy Grams will be sold for $1, $2, and $5 until Friday.

        Attention Students: ID Cards will be handed out this week during the lunches. Cards will be issued by homeroom on Tuesday through Thursday. A distribution schedule will be posted in your homeroom classes. If you did not take a picture this year, then you will not receive an ID card.

        Congrats to the JV boys Basketball team on their 1st ever win in school history. They defeated Southern Lee 54-43. It was a great team effort. Congratulations again!

Student services is hosting a Technical College and Trades Fair this Monday, November 18th during 1st-3rd period in the TLC. We want students to know they have so many options, and their "E" for enrollment after high school does not have to be a traditional 4 year college or university.

The following schools will be in attendance:

•Lincoln College of Technology who specializes in automotive tech, collision repair and refinishing, diesel tech and welding

•Johnston & Wales University’s Culinary arts program

•Paul Mitchell who specializes in hair cutting, coloring, styling, men's cuts, makeup, etc.

manicurist/nail art design school in Durham, NC

and

•Universal Technical Institute of Mooresville, NC who specializes in automotive and CNC machining

Our football banquet will be on Monday, November 18 at 7 pm at SGHS in the cafeteria area. This will be for JV and Varsity combined. The athletes and the coaches will be paid for. Anyone is welcome to attend but I MUST have a headcount and all the money collected by Wednesday, November 13.         Picture proofs were sent home on Thursday. If you plan to purchase pictures, please use the enclosed envelope or the online information that was provided. Return all picture money to your homeroom teacher.

        Picture makeups are next Tuesday, October 22nd. If you want to retake your picture, then sign up with the yearbook staff during lunch or use the information on posters around the building to register.

        The 2019-2020 yearbook is on sale now for $50. Purchases can be made during lunch. We also accept payment plans for as low as $10. Any questions? See Dr. Hammonds in Room 2421.
