What to Expect at YLA 2023

- YLA is located at San Diego City College (1313 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101). Check in will be at the Saville Theater (14th St &, C St, San Diego, CA 92101).
- YLA is on Saturday, November 11th from 9 AM-5:30 PM.
- YLA will include speakers, workshops, and activities for youth and supporters to learn practical skills in creating change and engage with each other.
- YLA has three tracks available:
- Youth Tracks for middle and high school-aged youth
- Adult (Parents/Caregivers/Educators) Track
- Young Adult (TAY) Track for young adults (ages 18-24)
Service Animals
- Service animals are permitted at this event.
- Non-service animals and pets are not permitted at this event.
- Service animal relief areas are outside the building in grassy and dirt areas.
Mobility Accessibility
- YLA is accessible to all mobility devices. Accessible seating for workshops is available.
- Accessible restrooms and parking spaces are available.
- There are some hills with ramps on the campus.
Sensory Accessibility
- YLA will have a Sensory Break Area for anyone who would like a calming space to take a break.
- Here are some examples of sensory stimulation that you may encounter at YLA:
- Microphone and speaker noises
- People conversing
- Bright lights
- Weather when outside, A/C when inside
- Scents from attendees and food
- Large groups in a room
- Presentations
- Cars driving by when outside
- Fidget toys and ear plugs will be available at this event.
- Volunteers and event coordinators are encouraged to refrain from wearing scented products.
Communication Accessibility
- Language interpretation services can be requested on your registration form or by emailing accessibility@sdpride.org. Interpretation is not guaranteed, but we will do our best to fulfill your request.

Transportation and Parking
- Free parking will be available all day at Parking Lot 8. THis parking lot includes many ADA spots. The check-in area will be by the Saville Theater, signage will be clearly posted from the parking lot to the appropriate check-in area.
- Public transportation options:
- Bus 2 - Get off at Broadway & 15th St OR Broadway & Park Bl. (0.2 miles away from Saville Theater)
- Bus 7 - Get off at Park Blvd & B St OR Broadway & Park Bl. (0.2 miles away from Saville Theater)
- Bus 12 - Get off at Broadway & Park Bl. (0.2 miles away from Saville Theater)
- Bus 215 - Get off at Broadway & Park Bl. (0.2 miles away from Saville Theater)
- Bus 225, 235 - Get off at Broadway & Park Bl. OR 14th St. & F St. (0.2 miles away from Saville Theater)
- Bus 992 - Get off at Broadway & Park Bl. (0.2 miles away from Saville Theater)
- Trolley - Get off at City College (0.2 miles away from Saville Theater)
- If you use MTS Access, you can set your drop-off location to 14th St & C St, San Diego, CA 92101.

COVID-19 Information
- This event will include mostly indoor spaces. Guests may be in close vicinity to one another, but there are many opportunities to distance yourself as needed.
- The health and safety of attendees is our highest priority. The event planning team is adhering to best-practice COVID protocols based on local, state, federal, and global health guidelines.
- As we navigate a world where COVID continues to be present, we ask that you not attend if you test positive for COVID, feel sick or ill or present any symptoms associated with COVID.
- We will have high-quality masks available for anyone who chooses to wear one.
- Please follow all CDC guidelines and recommendations for your safety and the safety of others.
Food Information
- Snacks and water will be provided throughout the day.
- Lunch will be provided.
- Dietary restrictions included in registrations will be taken into consideration when planning food. However, feel free to bring your own snacks if you would like.
- If you need any assistance ordering food, carrying food or materials, please find an event organizer or volunteer and we can assist you.
