In 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2018, Whitehall Public Transportation received the Golden Sunlight Mine Fund grant award of $2500.00 and the 2019 $2,000.00 grant from the Jefferson Valley Community Foundation. These funds were granted for operations expenses and for matching funds towards vehicles and the new bus barn. WPT and Liberty Place, Inc. would like to thank the Jefferson Valley Community Foundation for their dedication to meeting this very real human need in our community.
In 2014, 2015 & 2016, 2017 Jefferson Valley Community Foundation/Whitehall Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Black Tie, Blue Jeans Annual Fundraiser granted Whitehall Public Transportation $250.00 and in 2019 $216.76 to use towards office equipment, vehicle advertising and towards a new vehicle.
In 2020 Whitehall Mayor, Mary Janacaro Hensleigh donated $280.00 for the purchase of a hand cart. Pacific Source donated $2,000.00 to use towards our operating expenses.
In 2021 Whitehall Country Store granted WPT $10,000.00 to be used towards operating expenses that were impacted by Covid-19. These funds will assist in the recovery of lost revenues during the pandemic.
In 2022 St James Foundation (SCL) granted WPT $10,175.00 to purchase a backup generator for our bus barn. These funds will enable services to continue during power outages at Whitehall Operations Center.
