- Your access and use on Thinky.gg is conditioned on accepting and complying with these terms. If you have an issue with the terms then don’t use the site.
- You must represent that you’re older than 13 years of age when accessing the website.
How to Contact Admins
Use the following Google form to contact the admins https://forms.gle/xz3cuXvxFR8hb6un8 for any reason outlined in these terms. You can also email help@thinky.gg for issues or refund requests.
Access Rules
- You may not use any bots / automation tools on the site without express written consent from one of the Thinky admins.
- Solvers are fine for recreational use, but their solutions should not be used to complete levels (this can make leaderboards and level difficulties inaccurate)
Safety Rules
- You can not use any vulgar, obscene, or offensive language anywhere on the website (including usernames, levels, comments, or really anywhere that has user input).
- You cannot promote illegal activities
- You cannot have an explicit / vulgar avatar
- You cannot spam the website through excessive level creation or reviews
- You cannot spam, bully, or harass another user
- Thinky admins have full discretion in determining whether these rules have been violated and whether a user is subject to termination from the site.
Level Creation Rules
- You may not duplicate a level that is identical, or almost identical, to another level that has already been published by another creator. This includes:
- Levels with trite differences
- Symmetrical rotations or translations of level pieces
- Levels with duplicate titles or descriptions that attempt to misattribute the origin of a level
- Do not publish a level that has been published on another site already by a different creator without getting expressed written permission from that creator. You are still required to credit the original author.
- If you are making a level inspired or derived from another level you must attribute the original level creator via utilizing the author note or by receiving permission from the original author. If you are unsure if your level is too similar, reach out to the admins.
- You also may not falsely attribute a level as a derivative of another
- Thinky admins have the right to freely use any published levels without restriction - this includes (but is not limited to) promotional materials, screenshots, level campaigns or collections
- Any background images attached to levels must be optimized for size and resolution.
- Background images, titles, or author notes must not contain any offensive, illegal, or explicit material.
- Thinky admins will ultimately determine whether a created level complies with this policy and reserves the right to modify or unpublish levels that do not comply with the policy.
Integrity/Cheating Rules and Guidelines
- When writing comments on levels or interacting on discord, it is against the rules to share solutions or overt hints. Please don’t spoil the game for others!
- Review levels honestly; do not leave low or high reviews with the intention of bombing or boosting a level’s rating
- On Discord, providing hints is permitted but you must use the spoiler tag.
- Streaming game play on Discord, Twitch, etc is permitted but our guidance is to make it clear to viewers that you may be revealing a solution and to encourage players to try and solve the levels themselves.
Account
- When you sign up for a Thinky account, you need to provide accurate email information.
- You are not allowed to impersonate any other user or use a username from someone else or entity (like a trademark) that is subject to rights of anyone else except for you.
- Accounts cannot be shared between multiple users. They are meant to be used by one user only.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your password. We recommend using a password manager.
