Seed Library

The Owen Library is starting a seed library! What’s a seed library? It’s a collection of donated and purchased seeds that our patrons can take and try out. This makes it easier for beginners to try gardening or for experienced gardeners to try something new. People will be limited to 5 seed packets total. We are accepting donations for vegetable, flower and herb seeds. The seed can be commercial (unopened or leftover packets) or clean,dry harvested seeds. We plan to make the seeds available on May 1. Please contact the library if you have any questions.

Reading Challenge

Summer will be here soon and so will our summer library reading challenge. We will have challenges for kids, adults and teens. Read great books, win fun prizes and take a chance at winning the grand prize! Check our social media and/or website for more details, coming soon.

Nature Projects and Programs

This summer the library will be at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays again. We will have nature-themed crafts and activities for kids to take. Gardeners, watch for program opportunities as well. The library will be at the Farmer’s Market from 9am-12pm on June 3, 10 & 24 and July 8 & 16.
