#1. How do I strike for Palestine on other platforms?
1. REPOST WHAT YOU FIND ON TWITTER
twitter has a lot of good threads (wink wink) so you could organize slideshows of different threads or reposting individual threads. you could even screenshot what you find on other platforms and put them on tiktok so more people are aware.
2. LET YOUR FOLLOWERS KNOW YOU'RE STRIKING
seemingly twitter is a lot more aware of the strike than other platforms, which opens a whole other world of people that are just living unaware. telling your followers and mutuals that you're participating will encourage them to do so.
3. REPOST PALESTINE RELATED CONTENT
if you keep posting normally, people will simply take the strike lightly and not care about the humanitarian crisis going on in palestine and other countries. reposting relevant content during the strike can help spread awareness.
4. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH ZIONISTS
zionists are swarming tiktok and other platforms just like on here. do yourself a favor and just block (and in some cases report) any negative comments you may get. they're looking for your attention - don't give it to them.
5. DO NOT SPAM
just like on twitter, spamming free palestine won't do much. posting actual information can get your engagement higher and you might even get mutuals that share palestine news and other helpful content. keep all of your content RELEVANT.
6. DON'T NAME-CALL OTHERS
do not call someone a zionist just because they haven't posted information about the strike, because unlike twitter other platforms are not as aware and genuinely may not know about the strike. instead, just calmly educate them about the matter.
#2. What’s happening in Pakistan & Myanmar?
BALOCHISTAN, PAKISTAN
balochistan is a province in pakistan that is currently undergoing a genocide. on december 21st, 2023, law enforcement agencies used brutal force to disperse a peaceful baloch march to protest against state crimes against the baloch people

many protesters (which were mostly women & children) were subjected to torture and abuse, regardless of age. after 24 hours, they were released, but deported back to balochistan. this protest was fueled by the killing of balaach mola bakhsh.

as of january 2023, the commission of inquiry on enforced disappearances has reported almost 9,000 cases across pakistan since its establishment in 2011. they have yet to receive justice. people are consistently killed/missing in the area.
MYANMAR
myanmar is currently suffering from the rohingya genocide, a series of ongoing killings of the muslim rohingya people by the myanmar military. rohingyas are being displaced in bangladesh even before the coup happened in 2021, mass atrocities were committed in the country

there's about 45,000 who died (4,000 were civilians) ever since the 2021 coup. israel has sold weapons to the military which made them an enabler of the situation. rohingya are being targeted because of their ethnic and religious identity.

#6. How are Palestinian women affected by the genocide?
1. EXECUTION
palestinian women and girls have been executed in gaza. in most cases, they’re executed in groups or even with their families. this is deliberate towards palestinian women - and it mostly happens during attempts to flee the country entirely

many reports from the UN have shown women are denied menstruation pads and have been severely beaten and tortured. in some cases, they were dehumanized, detained in cages in gaza in the cold without food, left to starve.

the sexual assault rates have increased steadily since the genocide began. in many cases young girls have been stripped naked and searched by MALE israeli officers without their consent. many have been threatened, and in some cases victims of r@pe

#7. Why is the Palestinian genocide not considered a war?
1. THEY WERE ALWAYS AT RISK FOR GENOCIDE
back in november 2023, the united nations were already fearing of the genocide of palestinians. many international leaders had previously voiced this concern before and yet didn't do anything to protect palestinians prior to the genocide.
2. THEY FIT THE LITERAL DEFINITION OF GENOCIDE
the textbook definition is “any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group". this is precisely what the israeli government is doing to palestine.

1. THE PROBLEM
due to the genocide, utilities and materials are heavily lacking, and the amount of people injured increase every day. they are currently facing a shortage of medical equipment, prescription drugs, and protective gear. many hospitals have been abandoned as a result

this makes up a very large percentage of healthcare, with 40% of palestinians being under 18. access is significantly limited. children are dying before they even get to see their parents, sometimes even before they have a name.

the genocide has left many palestinians dealing with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. mental health issues are common as well in response to traumatic events, such as ptsd. this can especially stick with kids as they're young.

gaza's major cell networks are down, so by giving esims you are allowing them to access data despite the current blackout happening in gaza. otherwise, they don't have any form of communication with people outside of immediate family
2. TO CONNECT PALESTINIANS WITH THE WORLD
many from gaza are still alive and are able to share their stories, with most of them being powered by esims donated through those that are privilaged enough to do so. more awareness will be spread if you give the palestinians a voice.

#11. What’s happening to Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities in China?
1A. THE PROBLEM
china has detained more than one million uyghurs against their will over the past few years in a large network of what the state calls "re-education camps", and sentenced hundreds of thousands to prison terms. armed officers have killed those who tried to escape.

the chinese government has refused to acknowledge the genocide they’ve created against these minority groups. they’ve been attempting to glorify china despite the several human rights abuses they’ve obtained over the years.

ever since october 2022, the annual inflation in venezuela hit 155%, increasing the risk of hyperinflation. the economy is currently at it's worst, with many prices increasing such as clothing prices increasing by 57.8% and household items by 55.8%.

the watermelon is a symbol of palestine support and protests against israelis and the israeli government. it’s in many people’s display names to represent the palestine support, which normally also indicates they are striking.

it first emerged after the six-day war in 1967, when israel seized control of the west bank and gaza, and annexed east jerusalem. at the time, the israeli government made public displays of the palestinian flag a criminal offense in gaza.

back in november 2023, gunmen went from home to home for three days in a refugee camp in darfur, sudan, looking for masalit (black-african ethnic group) men and killing them. over 10,000 people have died and around 5.6 million people had to flee their homes.

much of the population in sudan requires humanitarian assistance. women especially are being treated like slaves. experts had warned us of a genocide happening way back in april of 2023, and we didn't help. now this is our chance.

1. WHERE IS AVDIIVKA?
avdiivka is a city in donetsk — one of the four ukrainian regions that russia illegally claimed to annex in 2022. russia has frequently targeted a coke and chemical plant in the city, with a ukrainian soldier reporting about 20 air dropped bombs a day.

yes, they are still suffering. just as much as they were back in february of 2022. over 70,000 ukrainians have been killed over the course of these years, it was our fault for ignoring and forgetting about them after it stopped being a "trend".

in september 2023, over 100K indigenous people were forced out of nagorno-karabakh. due to this they had a 9 month period of starvation. these people had to leave behind shops, schools, fields, even cemetries of their ancestors. many monuments had to be abandoned.

the united states and european union are aware of this and yet haven't done anything to support them while armenians were denied vital things needed to survive. this is a cultural erasure - monuments and statues that armenians worshipped are destroyed.

the monuments that have been destroyed are already being falsely rebranded as ancient caucasian albanian temples despite the armenian inscriptions on these. the attempt to remove all traces of armenian culture in the area is a sense of cultural genocide.

in february 2024, a series of wildfires broke out in chile, affecting multiple regions including valparaÃso, o’higgins, maule, biobÃo, and los lagos. the most severe incidents occurred in the valparaÃso region as of the 5th.

CONTEXT
if you're unaware, we are boycotting ANYTHING with lithium batteries/containing cobalt for congo. by doing so we are limiting the child labor (and illegal labor) being performed in the DRC, which has taken many lives and compromised basic needs and living conditions.

a quota in education terms is basically a policy of limiting students from attending schools. this is the system they use in bangladesh, but it’s being unfairly taken away from students which prevents their education.
#48. What’s happening to the Kurdish people?
1. THE PROBLEM
out of all minorities in the middle east the kurdish people are one of the most oppressed & discriminated groups. they have undergone ethnic cleansings & mass murders resulting in over 100,000 deaths of kurdish civilians.
2. THE OPPRESSION
turkiye & iran have been heavily attacking kurdish civilians for decades now, even going as far as banning babies from having kurdish names & entirely prohibiting kurdish languages.
3A. WHY ARE KURDISH PEOPLE SUBJECTED TO THIS?
the land where most kurdish people live, kurdistan, is occupied by turkiye, iran, iraq & syria. kurdish people are in a never-ending battle for independence, which would involve territory being given up by all 4 countries.
3B. WHY ARE KURDISH PEOPLE SUBJECTED TO THIS?
conflicts between these 4 countries military organizations & kurdish resistance groups occur as a result in battling for independence. because of this, kurdish people have been stereotyped as terrorists despite being innocent.
4. HOW CAN I HELP?
please continue to talk about this! since they're a heavily oppressed group it's extremely difficult to share their voices which is why we need to take advantage of our privilege and speak up.
