Contact

All contact should be through the parent website, or via email. If a different method of communication works best for you, please let me know and I’d be happy to accommodate if I have that same app/website/etc available to me. Please keep changes of contact info to a minimum!

Work Days

Monday-Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday

I may respond to work-related inquiries outside of those hours at my discretion, but the above is my dedicated work hours where I can be reached quite quickly.

Process

If you’ve never commissioned someone before (or me specifically), my commission process is pretty standard.

Initial Inquiry → Agreement and fulfillment of payment via PayPal → WIP check (when applicable), Sketch stage, edit time → Secondary WIP check (when applicable), making sure previous edits look right → Finishing up and final minor edits → Completion!

Estimates for completion vary by each opening! Please let me know with your initial inquiry if you need a commission by a specific date/timeline.

Reference materials

It is the client’s responsibility to avoid commissioning me using outdated, faulty, or unclear references; any inaccuracies in my work as a result of flawed reference material will cost standard fees if revisions are major, or post-sketch approval.

If you only have written references, please take a moment to find a few photos that portray your idea - I do not take purely written descriptions for references, as the margin for interpretation is much too wide.

Any characters commissioned should be complete, i.e. not currently undergoing visual development where further reworking is being done concurrently with the commission - I will adhere to the original reference provided, but any revisions and edits as a result of the ongoing development of said character will incur an additional fee to cover the added labor.

All illustrations are not considered design commissions - if you would like me to design something for your character, whether it is aspects of the character itself or other props such as clothing, please refer to ‘Custom Design’ prices in addition to your base illustration commission. Any exceptions are clearly listed by each commission’s description.

Payment and Refunds

Payment

All payment shall be made in $USD, as are the prices posted.

I accept PayPal as a means of payment.

Work starts once full payment is received.

This applies to any commissions on a payment plan as well - work starts once the payment plan is completed.

In the case of designs, the full HQ image will be sent to you once the design has been paid off in full.

Any payment originating as a non-USD currency MUST be converted into USD before payment is sent to me.

Otherwise, currency conversion often leads to either overpaying or underpaying of agreed prices.

Send Money, Paypal.me, and other client to artist payment options may be used. I prefer to make and send Invoices.

Please do not send payment unless I have explicitly asked you to do so.

By paying for the invoice, you acknowledge that the username/account listed on the invoice is correct and indeed yours, or belongs to someone representing payment on your behalf, and are responsible for the payment in full. Please do not pay the invoice if it is neither your name/username nor an authorized payee.

Commissioned pieces will not be shipped in a physical form to your address, even if an address has been provided by you through means of Paypal. What I charge is for my artistic labor.

Any payment made shall be from a verified PayPal account, belonging to the purchaser ONLY; any violation of PayPal TOS such as shared accounts or fraudulent accounts, including those owned by minors, are prohibited. Chargebacks from any completed transactions will be disputed, and if necessary, further legal action can and will be taken.

Account (DA, FA, etc) from which the purchase is being made must be a minimum of 6 months of age, unless the user can prove they were active on a different account in good standing.

I reserve the right to refuse any payment.

Refunds

I do not offer any refunds for adoptables or completed commissions.

Full refunds will be provided if work has not started, regardless of the time frame.

On this note though - please do not use me as a ‘digital wallet’. Repeated refund requests very close to the original commission date will eventually lead to blacklisting.

For illustration commissions: Clients may ask for a refund at any time, even if work has already started - returned amounts are based on work completed relative to what the full completed work had been.

For example, a flat-color fullbody consists of 3 major steps - sketch, lines, and color. If a client requires a refund when the sketch is complete (i.e. 30% of the work is done), 70% of the total funds would be refunded.

Similarly, if I had already started on the lines, I would gauge what % of that 30% I have completed, and charge accordingly. If I were half-way done with lines, I would charge 30% for the sketch + 15% for the lines, totalling 45% of the work done for a refund of 55%.

Art completed up to that point will be delivered for illustration commissions.

For design commissions: Clients may ask for a refund at any time as long as the design is not a spin-off or variant of another pre-existing design.

Clients agree that, after the refund has been received, the design may be re-sold by the artist with or without changes to the design.

Clients acknowledge that refunds may not be available immediately as the bank and paypal may take several days to reverse transactions; I will keep clients updated on the status of their refund in a timely manner via private messages or email.

In any case, please reach out to me! I’d like for you to be happy with what you receive.

Payment Deadlines

Payments will have two full days (roughly 48 hours) to make payment from the time a commission agreement is made - holds are also due within that time frame. If no payment is received in that time, the client will lose their rights to the commission slot or design, unless the client has otherwise discussed other terms.

Conversely, if I don’t get back to you for a sale within 48 work day hours(found under ‘Work Days’ above), the same applies to me - you can walk away from the sale, not a problem, sorry to make you wait!

Payment Plans

When sums exceed $250, the client is eligible to enroll in a payment plan where the total amount is paid over a period of time. For commissions and customs where the item is yet to be complete, work will only begin once the payment plan is paid in full.

A minimum downpayment of $100 is always required. This payment is non-refundable.

Downpayments are non-refundable to cover miscellaneous costs associated with a buyer dropping out of the purchase. All of my adopts are released on a schedule to allow time for transfer of funds for payment of bills and such; when a buyer drops out, it typically costs me late fees for those bills.

If a client opts to pay more than the required minimum for the initial payment, only the first $100 of the paid amount is regarded as non-refundable.

I do not accept payment plans exceeding 3 months in length for amounts under $800.

Please take note of the due dates that have been set; while I do my best to remind clients when the date is coming up, it is not always possible.

Payments shall not be late more than two days from the due date; if the payment is late by more than two days, a reminder will be sent to the client. If the payment is late by more than a week, the down payment will be kept as compensation. All other payments (if any had been made in addition to the down payment) will be refunded as soon as possible and rights to the design will be revoked - I will need you to verify the correct paypal address to refund to so please be sure to get back to me when I poke you about it! .

I reserve the right to decline any payment plan.

Revision Policy

Each commission comes with a specified number of edits incorporated into their base price; all current revisions are listed under each commission’s listing on the price sheet. Any edits and revisions that exceed those specifications will incur a fee.

**Please be sure to take your time when reviewing sketches or line art for approval. **

Please take your time, a couple days is no problem at all. I’m not looking to rush you into potential editing fees!

That being said, sketch approval more than a week in length may end up bumping your commission to later in the queue as it hinders other commissions from being completed.

Rejected sketches/WIPs are still within my property and may be reused and repurposed at a future date for both personal and commercial uses unless otherwise negotiated. Please do not use them if they have been rejected in the approval process. While all unique likenesses of the original commissioned character will be reasonably removed, other aspects such as the pose may be reused by me at a later date.

There is a 2 week grace period for minor edits after a commission is completed. Extensive edits will incur an additional fee. Edits requested after 2 weeks since the completion of the commission may be declined.

Trade & Resale Policy

Trade & Resale of Closed Species Designs:

All TOS of the CS the design belongs to should be followed. Please refer to the respective species’ TOS for trade/resale policy.

Blacklisting

Blacklisting is pretty straightforward! Dropping out of sales, malicious behavior, blocking commission communication, and chargebacks are some of the most common reasons.

Harassing others or myself to sell/trade/etc a design is also block-worthy behavior (e.g. multiple messages after receiving an explicit ‘no’).

Please come talk to me if you feel you’ve been blacklisted unfairly. I’m happy to chat as long as things are kept civil and professional.

Copyright

I retain full rights to my work; this includes, but is not limited to, reposting, printing, or redistributing. This includes intellectual rights!

Commercial licensure is available upon request. Please message me with specific usage plans and I’ll get back to you.

The client retains rights for the character(s) depicted when ownership is explicit and applicable.

The client is entitled to the character itself, i.e. any world-building, personality, or story they may have created. The image, art, and design concepts copyright is retained by me.

The client may use the image for their personal, non-commercial use if permission is given.

The client may not recreate, redistribute, or use the work in any way, including tracing.

The client may not use the art which results in monetary gain.

The client may not include the art in commercial projects, including but not limited to books, games, comics, third-party distribution, etc.

Commissioning others to edit, complete, or otherwise alter the original image is also considered commercial use.

None of my work is to be used as an entry into any contest, regardless of the judging criteria, prizes, or circumstances. Most contests prohibit such use of external resources anyway.

Hosting

I typically retain the original image for up to 3 months after its completion; clients may request another copy of the original files up to those 3 months.

I may provide files beyond those 3 months but it is not a guarantee and may be declined.

By commissioning me and/or buying any of my designs, you agree to the terms of service.
