The first two weeks of Term One have gone fabulously well - no doubt helped by the fact that both were short weeks!  The children are looking very smart in their uniforms and it’s great to see so many making an effort to wear the correct shoes, hats and hair ties.

We’ve got some exciting things planned over the next few weeks:

• Mrs Field will be running some amazing Science lessons in each class this term.  We are very lucky that Mrs Field has been part of the Science Leadership Teaching Programme organised by the Royal Society.
• Classes will also be working with Mr Yoon to learn new ICT skills.   The focus will be on coding and computational thinking as these are part of the new Digital Technologies curriculum.
• Mrs Keryn Scott is an Art Specialist teacher and will be working across classes.  It is her intention for every student to produce a high quality piece of artwork by the end of the term.

We ask that all visitors to the school, including parents and whānau arriving during school hours to drop off items for their child, must report to the school office due to health and safety requirements.  Please do not go directly to your child’s room to drop anything off or to collect them early.  I understand this may be inconvenient at times but we do appreciate your co-operation to ensure the safety of all our students.

It’s that time of year when wet weather can cause havoc in the drop off/pick up area outside the front office.  A reminder that you must not park your car or leave your car unattended as this causes congestion and is a safety hazard for our tamariki.  If you need to come into school please park your car on the street.

Treemendous Makeover - we need your help!

PTA AGM

The Anchorage Park School PTA will be holding an Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 21 March at 7:15pm in the school staff room. Nominations are called for and elections will be held for the positions of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. School Donations

School donations for 2018 are: $120 per child per year or $30 per term and $180 per family per year or $45 per term.  All donations paid in full before 31 March 2018 will go into the prize draw for a full refund.  Payments can be made by instalments through the year if you prefer.
