The district patrol officer heard the children screaming and crying in the truck and waiting with the children until the father returned to the car. State warrants will be sought against the father for Child Endangerment through St. Louis County PA’s office.

Assaulting a LEO

Officer observed a subject walking in front of the Esquire Theater who he knew had an outstanding warrant for “Assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer.” The officer tried to stop and arrest the suspect but was then assaulted by the suspect. Suspect was eventually taken into custody after assaulting the officer.  During the booking process the suspect again became violent and ripped the booking camera from off of the wall.  Suspect booked for Assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, Property Damage and fugitive for two other agencies, one of which was a warrant for Assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer. Suspect held until warrants can be applied for with the St. Louis County PS’s Office on our charges. The officer sustained injuries to his face and two lacerations to his left thumb and left pinky finger while affecting the arrest.

Officers responded to the area to investigate a report of subjects tampering with parked vehicles. When officers arrived they observed several subjects enter a vehicle which fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle struck a tree at Bellevue Ave @ I-64 and two subjects were taken into custody. Both were taken to the hospital for injuries resulting from the crash. Three firearms were recovered from the inside of the vehicle along with items that appear to have been stolen.
