Friday’s Parade and Pep Rally

Students who donate candy or help in other ways will be allowed to walk alongside the float and pass out candy. The staging area for all participants will be the student parking lot by Officer Essick's patrol car at 1. The parade will pass FFES & FFMS and then behind the stadium. The parade will pass behind the bleachers where students will be standing along the gravel road -- new this year due to the re-surfacing of the track. Absolutely no vehicles on the track -- Central Office mandate!)

Students will be released from class at 1:30 and walk to the gravel road behind the football field with their fifth-period teacher. The Pep Assembly will follow the parade.

The football game will be against Hertford County at 7:30. The Homecoming Court will be introduced at halftime and the King and Queen will be crowned.

Saturday’s Dance

EMPOWER TIME

The new Empower Time policy allows students to be claimed by a teacher every day rather than a week ahead of time. To make this system work, however, students MUST check the Empower Time spreadsheet every morning during second period to see if they have been claimed. This is also important because teachers who lead clubs are claiming students for meetings during ET. Remember, the only way Empower Time can work effectively is if all students are in the right place on the right day -- take advantage of this 30 minutes of enrichment time!

CHROMEBOOK CASE POLICY

Due to the high volume of damage in the past, all Chromebooks MUST remain in their cases at all times. Every student has an updated case that makes it possible to use the Chromebook without removing it from the case. Teachers have been asked to confiscate Chromebooks being used without the case and turn them in to the media center. Please encourage your student to adhere to this policy so damage fees can be avoided.

SCHOOL PHOTOS

Freshmen, sophomores and juniors received photo orders or photo proof packets on Wednesday, Sept. 20, in their fifth-period class. Student ID Cards also were included in the photo packet. Anyone wishing to order photos from the proofs should follow the online ordering instructions included with the packet. PLEASE NOTE: Anyone who wishes to have retakes made on Oct. 12 needs to bring their original photo packet with them! Please do not throw away your original photos or proof. See Mr. Hanf in Room B-214 with questions about photo orders.
