Leader In Me Moment:

Monday: Habit 3: Put First Things First—with a focus on Big Rocks. - Think of Big Rocks as the most important things. For today’s mission moment, let’s ask ourselves, “What are our biggest rocks?”

Tuesday: Remember Big Rocks? They’re our top priorities. Let’s not confuse them with our little rocks. - For today’s mission moment, let’s ask ourselves, “What are some examples of little rocks?” Wednesday: Our school day is scheduled around our Big Rocks for learning. - For today’s mission moment, let’s ask ourselves, “What are some of the Big Rocks on your daily schedule today and the rest of the week?”

Thursday: We can also think of our WIGs as Big Rocks. - For today’s mission moment, let’s ask ourselves, “How are we doing with staying focused on our WIGs?”

Friday: Staying focused on the things that are most important to us takes planning. - For today’s mission moment, let’s think about some of our Big Rocks for next week.

All students who have perfect attendance for the month of October will receive an additional BREAK! WE NEED YOU HERE EVERYDAY!

The Halloween Dance is next Friday, Oct. 31st.  The cost for the dance is 20 PRIDE Bucks.  The technology area tickets are also 20 PRIDE Bucks.  There will be concessions available for real money.  

Lost and found items will be collected and donated after Friday. Make sure you stop by and check if you are missing any items.

Attention FCCLA members--our next meeting, Spooky Chef, will be next Tuesday October 28 after school until 4:30.  Come out for scary good Halloween goodies we'll make ourselves, goulish games, and tell ghost stories.  Pick up is at the front of the school around 4:30!  

Speaking of FCCLA, membership is open for 2nd quarter now until October 31.  Membership forms are outside Mrs. Coker's door on the FCCLA bulletin board.  Come join the ultimate leadership experience!  Dues are $20 and should be turned in along with forms to Mrs. Coker.  

aNY 8TH GRADER WHOSE PARENTS DID NOT ATTEND THE PARENT MEETING LAST NIGHT THERE ARE COPIES OF THE INFORMATION FROM THE MEETING IN THE FRONT OFFICE

Academic Club will meet on Wednesday, October 22, 3:15-4:15, in room 1125.

Just a reminder about our “Spooky to Be Hungry” Food Drive! All donations will go directly to the Madison County Food Bank to support individuals right here in our community. Please bring in canned or packaged food items.

We would love for every homeroom to participate!

Winning Homeroom: Receives a donuts sponsored by FFA.

Red Ribbon Week themes will begin tomorrow with COLOR WARS... which will be RED OUT for 6th graders, WHITE OUT for 7th graders, BLACK OUT for 8th graders, and faculty and staff are all asked to wear all 3 colors!!!!

Next week's themes are Crazy Hair Day, Country vs. Country Club, Don't Dress Your Age Day, Safari Day, and the week will end with Halloween Costumes and the Halloween Dance.  Check out the posters all around school for more details

We can't wait to see your creativity throughout the week!!!

2nd Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest.  Details and contest rules are posted throughout the building.  Please note that your pumpkin cannot be a store purchased pumpkin that is already decorated!!  All Entries are due no later than Monday, October 27th.

Students- ID badges should be brought to school and worn properly at all times. Failure to have your badge could mean lunch detention, loss of break, after school detention, and even ISS. Failure to wear your ID badge or sticker appropriately could result in a discipline write up and placement in ISS.

Students if you are absent please remember to bring your parent or doctor’s excuse to your house office within 5 days to have your absence excused. Unexcused absences affect your ability to attend dances, field day and other events.
