Leader In Me Moment: Monday: Have you ever had your feelings hurt? How did it make you feel? When we hurt someone or do something wrong, we should apologize. - For today’s mission moment, let’s ask ourselves, “What does a sincere apology sound like?” Tuesday: This week, we’ll look at the four parts of a sincere apology. - For today’s mission moment, let’s practice the first part of a sincere apology: “I am sorry that…” Wednesday: This week, we’re learning about the four parts of a sincere apology. - For today’s mission moment, let’s practice adding the second part of a sincere apology. First, we say “I’m sorry that…” Then, we add on, “I know it was wrong because…” Thursday: This week, we’re learning about the four parts of a sincere apology. - For today’s mission moment, let’s practice adding the third part of a sincere apology: “Next time, I will…” Friday: This week, we’re learning about the four parts of a sincere apology. - For today’s mission moment, let’s practice adding the fourth part of a sincere apology: “Will you forgive me?” Can we say all four parts? Congratulations to MCMS and Mrs. Prados! The middle school has made the list again for High School Achievement in math. Kudos to Mrs. Prados and your entire math team who get these kids ready for Algebra in 8th grade. Students with perfect attendance for the month of October will receive an additional break next week during ELT. 6th grade Tuesday, 7th grade Wednesday, and 8th grade Thursday. For the month of November students with perfect attendance will receive a free ice cream. FCCLA is sponsoring Operation Christmas Child again this year and needs your help! Bring in empty shoeboxes, small toys or craft items, or even sponsor a entire box! See the posters and information for what to bring outside Mrs. Coker's room. Get rewarded for participating--snacks for anyone who brings items and 10 pride bucks for a box, 15 pride bucks for a supply item, and 20 pride bucks for sponsoring a complete box! Help FCCLA make child's holiday bright! Event runs now until November 18! FCCLA's next meeting will be November 18 after school until 4 p.m. This will be the annual Operation Christmas Child packing party extravaganza! Pizza will be provided! Please consider sponsoring items for boxes or bringing empty boxes. Students- ID badges should be brought to school and worn properly at all times. Failure to have your badge could mean lunch detention, loss of break, after school detention, and even ISS. Failure to wear your ID badge or sticker appropriately could result in a discipline write up and placement in ISS. Students if you are absent please remember to bring your parent or doctor’s excuse to your house office within 5 days to have your absence excused. Unexcused absences affect your ability to attend dances, field day and other events. |
