MIDTERM EXAMS/END OF SEMESTER PROCEDURES

  1. Student Responsibilities

  1. Midterm Exams are required for all courses.  Students will receive a zero on the exam if it is not taken.
  2. Students who are able to provide their own transportation may arrange to arrive or leave in accordance with their individual exam schedules.  All parking rules will be in effect during exams.
  3. Students who rely on school-provided transportation must remain on campus and are restricted to their exam room or the Large Cafeteria (all study halls report to the cafeteria).
  4. Students must take their exams during their regularly scheduled class period.  All exceptions to this rule must be approved by the grade level administrator.
  5. All personal electronic devices (cell phones, smartwatches, etc.) are prohibited while students are testing and materials are still distributed.
  1. Any violation of the above provisions will result in the student receiving a zero on the exam.

  1. Attendance/Make-Up Exams

  1. Students who are absent on the day of a Midterm Exam are required to make arrangements to make up the exam.  The responsibility for the make-up arrangements rests with the student. The student must secure the approval of his/her grade level administrator in order to be able to make up an exam.  Students may not take exams prior to the scheduled exam period.  Please refer to policy 2624.1- MID-YEAR AND FINAL EXAMINATIONS - HIGH SCHOOL.
  2. Make-Up Exams, if approved by the Administrator, will be proctored by the subject teacher between 12:20-2:21 PM on the days of the exam.
  3. In the event that a student qualifies for a grade of “Incomplete” on the Midterm Exam, the exam must be made up within the two-week time limit.  Failure to complete the exam within the two-week time period will cause the grade of “Incomplete” to become a “U”.
