Youth Programs Intern, Exploration of Nature
Interns are an integral part of our team as they bring creativity, fresh energy, and new ideas while also getting a chance to learn all about youth development. The focus for our interns is to create and implement age-appropriate activities for youth in Kindergarten through 6th grade that inspire curiosity about, a sense of belonging in, and awareness of nature. Interns will have an opportunity learn about curriculum development, program leadership, positive behavior intervention strategies and behavior management at our SummerKids day camp program. Interns will have the opportunity to be creative and to serve as role models, motivators, educators, and spark champions as they help facilitate safe, fun, and confidence building experiences in nature for all our campers. We strive to create an environment where each camper, volunteer, intern and staff member has a sense of belonging, opportunities to share passions, and a place to thrive.
