RECENT EDUCATION CONSULTANCY AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT/OUTREACH

• Academic Director of Economics for Foreign Policy, a bespoke Economics training course developed and delivered for HM FCDO; initial 4-year (£1 million) contract extended for a further 6 months to March 2022 – I led CTaLE and UCL Economics’s bid for this contract to deliver an innovative blended learning experience for civil servants involving a team of 15 academics at universities in the UK and US involved in delivering the course; the course has now trained close to 1000 British Government employees (from the FCDO, DIT, former DfID, the Cabinet Office, etc) from around the world.
• Developed EconTEAching seminars, a free online seminar series on economics education (2020 - ongoing, joint with C Jenkins, Imperial, and S Paredes, Warwick)
• Developed TeachECONference, a free virtual economics education conference, which attracted nearly 300 participants around the world in its first year (2020 - ongoing, joint with C Jenkins, Imperial, and D McKee, Cornell)
