Equipment:

Catheter: (20” Arrow with guidewire or 20G “Insite” venous cannula) (rarely the 20G Femoral kit will be requested)

Alcohol / betadine wipes

Wrist board OR Rolled towel

Tegaderm

Tape

Tranducer_ zeroed

4X4 gauze

Artery clamp

Prefered ultrasound (Transducer set to “Arterial”)

Assistance:

Assist with wrist positioning

Hand equipment

Immobilise catheter hub once placed to facilitate tubing attachment

Hand Tegaderm and Tape

Discard sharps and other disposables

Clean artery clamp

Ask to be dismissed
