Tasks
Step 1: Before you start creating
Why is a logo important?
The logo will build the first impression of your project. It will give information about it and will make it attractive or not to a potential audience. You want your logo to remain in your audience’s retina. Make it count!
What should a logo communicate?
Your logo communicates your project personality and uniqueness. To have a clear idea of what is the project main idea and personality, ask yourself the following questions:
- What are the important values we want to convey?
- What makes it special?
- If you had to describe the project in three words, what would they be?
- What are the three words you would want your audience to use to describe the project?
How can you find inspiration?
- Start with a brainstorming in the forum to have as many ideas as possible for the name and icon.
- Think like your audience before selecting the best name and icon.
- Check this website: https://99designs.es/inspiration/logos
Find the right type of logo
- The logo for the project should combine the name and academic year of the project (2021-2022) and an icon.
- Choose the right color(s). Remember colors have emotions and ideas attached to them. Check this website to understand more about colors for your logo: https://99designs.es/blog/tips/logo-color-meanings/#1
- Choose the right typography. The font you use already communicates something. Check this website to learn about different fonts you can use: https://99designs.es/blog/tips/brand-fonts/
- Don’t make it too complicated. Simplicity is key for a memorable (and printable) logo.

Please take into account all the ideas mentioned before to make it easy to remember and powerful. Each international team will have an online meeting to select a name and will send the name selected to the teachers who will then create a form to be voted on by all the participants in the project.
- Watch the video “How to Make a Logo in 5 minutes-for free” (7:22 min)
- Use the tool that is recommended in it (https://logomaker.thehoth.com/) or any other you are familiar with and design a logo for the project taking into account all the ideas mentioned above.
- Upload your logo to the right folder in materials and the padlet in the pages of the twinspace and under the heading of your team. Then the coordinator of each team will create a form to be shared with all the members of the team to vote for the one the team likes the most.
- After closing the form, the coordinator of each team will upload the finalists to the right folder in the section materials of the twinspace.
