Experience

Can you tell me more about the experience?
This event has been carefully curated between Fever and Alium Dining to provide this truly unique and culinary experience. Guests will enter a darkened room with very minimal lighting which stems from the arrangement of candles. Once seated you will be asked to tie your blindfolds, then the tasting experience begins. Waiters will then serve you 3-course meals with vague, but intriguing descriptions. A true foodie experience that promises to enhance your senses by eliminating one of them - your eyesight!

How do we eat in the dark? How do we know when we’ve finished?
Get Creative! Find a method that works for you, everyone has their own way!

How does the menu work? Do I need to choose anything?
There are three set mystery menus. You simply need to select your preference of either Meat (Red), Seafood (Blue) or Vegetarian (Green)! Please let us know if you have any allergies in the form provided so we can make the necessary alterations.

How long will I be in the dark for?
The experience runs for 90 minutes. We do advise that you remain in the dark for the full event to experience the true and fullest experience.   

Can I leave the venue and return?
It is not recommended unless you need the bathroom. Your waiter will be at hand for all your needs and any drink orders you may have.

How do I know where my table is?
Your table will be presented to you on arrival, with the help of our staff you will be taken to your seats. Our seating plans are done 5 days prior to the event, upon collecting your order forms so it is vital we receive your order forms on time.

When do I need to be there?
Please refer to your tickets to review your session time. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to your session.

What happens if I'm late?
We can allow entry if you are up to 15 minutes late. Any later than that and you will not be able to experience the full event and we can refuse entry at the promoters discretion. However, we will always do our best to accommodate each and every guest.

Tickets

Where can I find my ticket?

You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase.

You will also find your QR code in your purchase confirmation email.

Do I need to print my ticket?

You don’t need to print anything, you only need to show your Fever ticket(s) at the venue. Ticket(s) can only be validated with the staff of the venue. Once validated, ticket(s) cannot be reused.

Can I make a group booking?

For group enquiries, please contact us through this form.

Ticket changes

Are refunds allowed?
Subject to availability, changes of date and/or time are permitted up to 72 hours before the start time of your experience. In such a case, please contact us indicating your ticket ID. Tickets are non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law. For more information, you can refer to our T&Cs, or reach out to our user support team here.

I can't go on this date, will there be more dates available?

The event will have several sessions available with a variety of dates. However, there will be a very limited number of tickets available per date so we advise securing your favoured dates early.

Can I transfer my tickets to another person?

Yes, you can transfer your tickets to any other Fever account at no extra cost. It’s as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket on the Fever app.

Venue information

Where is the event?
The event is held at Alium Dining, 17 View Pt, Bendigo VIC 3550.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The venue is not wheelchair accessible as it has 4 stairs to get in, 4 stairs to access the toilets. The building is very old and heritage listed and it's hard to get alteration.

Is there air conditioning?
Yes.

Will there be parking?

There is on street parking on the same street as the restaurant. Parking is free after 5.30pm.

Requirements & Restrictions

What is the minimum age to enter the venue?
12+. Underage guests have to be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Can I take pictures during the event?
We do not permit photography at this event as the menu must remain secret for future patrons.
     
Can I bring my own food and drink into the venue?                 
No.

Can I bring animals?

Animals are not allowed, except for service dogs for which the venue must be notified beforehand.

What drinks will be available?  
Allium Dining has a fully stocked bar, including wine and cocktail pairings to suit the Dining in the Dark experience. Please note drinks are not included in your ticket price except a welcome drink.
