To all Harvard Families,

One of the core values of Harvard High School is to create a community of lifelong learners. We are always looking for ways to help our students to be more successful, and, with that, we are developing a new program to help students academically.

We are excited to announce that Harvard High School will soon be offering both a before and after school tutoring program called  ACES (Academic Center for Educational Support). Starting on November 28th, one teacher of each core discipline (math, science, and English) will be available in the library on Tuesday afternoons from 2:50 to 4:00, and Thursday mornings from 7:00-7:55 a.m. to help students who need extra help or want to maintain their current success in subject areas.  We will provide transportation on Tuesday nights via an activity bus for students who need a ride home.

Tutoring is open to all students of all grades. However, if your child is failing one or more classes, it is highly recommended that he or she attends these sessions at least until those grades improve. In time, we hope to add a peer tutoring component as well, during which students who have mastered content areas will work with teachers to assist their peers.

Harvard High School is committed to creating a successful learning community for all students. We hope you and your child(ren) will take advantage of this terrific opportunity!  We thank you for your support and encouragement in this endeavor.

Sincerely,

Faculty and Staff of Harvard High School
