Entry Day Delivery Date: Saturday, July 19, 2025, 10:00am to 3:00pm

Limit 3 entries per person

Size Limit: Entries over 48 inches wide must pay for 2 entries, 250lb max.

Submitted Work  -   Must be original photography by the artist in any form whether from film or digital and displayed as printed on paper in frame, or on glass, canvas, metal, wood or on other acceptable material in a hanging format, and/or including digital art that originates from photography by the artist as it's main component.  Composite work is acceptable as long as all main components stem from original photographic work by the artist. Pieces must be ready to hang with a wire on the back of the frame.

Entry Size Limit

Single entries must not exceed 48 inches wide. If your work exceeds 48 inches, you must pay for two entries. Art may not weigh over 250lbs. Please keep in mind that we must mount & hang on our gallery walls with normal gallery hanging procedures.

Online Entry – Preferred Entry Method

Entries may be submitted online at www.redwoodart.net between July 11th and 18th.  In addition to your contact information and information about your entries, you can upload images of your entries and pay your entry fees with a credit card or PayPal. You must bring in your physical work on July 19th to the RAA gallery should you want your entries exhibited, judged and potentially sold.

Eligibility and Presentation Specifications

All entries must arrive clean, undamaged and free of any strong odor. The work must be presented to the gallery prepared for display. Display criteria include the proper hardware for hanging.  All entries must have an Identification Label attached to the physical entry.

Restrictions

Entries must be new original work or original collaborations, of the artist/artists. Organizers reserve the right to refuse work on the basis of content unsuitable for the exhibition. Entries must not violate copyright laws. 

Insurance/Liability

Work entered in the exhibit, while it is on the premises of RAA will be insured as provided for in the insurance policy issued to the RAA in force at the time of the exhibit. The artist is required to declare the insurance value of the work. That value cannot exceed the sale price of the work.

Insurance is limited to seventy percent (70%) of the declared value with a $1,000 deductible per occurrence. Earthquake is excluded. If requested, proof of insurance value in the form of licensed appraisal or documented sales history shall be provided. A value in excess of $25,000 shall not be accepted. The RAA reserves the right to deny entry based upon its determination of excessive value for insurance purposes.

Upon any loss occurrence with multiple claimants, the deductible required by the policy shall be spread ratably among the claimants.

The RAA is not responsible for damages to works while in transit to or from the exhibit nor for any works left beyond the pickup date. The RAA is not liable for wear and tear that may occur by handling during entry, spotting, hanging and take down. Entering work into this exhibition shall imply agreement on the part of the artist to the conditions set forth here.

Sale of Works of Art

The RAA will collect a commission of thirty percent (30%) on the sale of a work of art on exhibit at the gallery. The association will assume responsibility for sales tax and processing the sale, notifying the artist of the sale and delivering the art to the buyer. Online sale of art work will occur via dialog with the RAA Sales Manager, artist and buyer. The amount due the artist will be paid within thirty (30) days of the close of the exhibit.

Gallery Sitting

Participants may be recruited to volunteer & gallery sit for short periods of time during the event, so the gallery can remain open to the public. Non-member volunteers will be given temporary membership and required to acknowledge the by-laws and code of conduct.

Pick Up Day

Exhibited work must remain on display for the entire show through Friday, August 18, 2023. Work may be picked up on Saturday, August 16th, 10 am to 3 pm. Please present artist’s receipt when claiming work. If you cannot come on that day, designate someone else to come with your receipt or a note from you to pick up your work. Artwork cannot be held beyond August 19th, 2025. Art work is no longer insured after August 19th, 2025.

Copyright Agreement

I understand that the copyright ownership of my entry remains with me. The RAA, retain the right to reproduce images of the art for their own archival record and/or to publicize and promote this exhibition and/or the Redwood Art Association.
