Malachi Vacation: European River Cruise
May 17–23, 2027
Holland & the Romantic Rhine Valley
You’re Invited!
Malachi staff and spouses—join us as we “cruise” down memory lane! I’ve been talking with many of you about this over the past year… and now it’s happening.
This invitation is for all Malachi alumni and their spouses—from every year. Bring photos, videos, old T-shirts—but most importantly, bring your memories. Let’s reconnect and celebrate the friendships we’ve built over the years.
Why a River Cruise?
We’ve done an ocean cruise before—and honestly, not our favorite. Too many people and often no countryside views. But river cruising is completely different—and we love it. Dan & Erin have done 4 European river cruises with Croisi-Europe, and they’ve all been fantastic!
● Smaller group (only 174 guests)
● Constant scenic views as you travel slowly down the river
● Daily stops in towns, castles, wineries, and more
● English-speaking tour guides at every stop
● Announcements in multiple languages (French, English, and more)
● High-quality food, desserts, and beverages are included
Pro tip: Consider dieting before the trip—the fresh breads and cheeses are incredible!
There’s also:
● Free time to explore towns or countryside
● Onboard games, dancing, and entertainment
● Local cultural performances (singers, dancers, etc.)
You’ll mostly see retired travelers—which makes it fun for us to be the “younger” group (even if my Airmen think I’m old!).
Cruise Details & Booking… View full details here:

Price: Starting at $2,552+ per person
● Prices are per person sharing a 2 person room
● Solo travelers typically pay a single surcharge (~$1,050) for their own room. Consider finding a Malachi roommate to save costs if not traveling with a spouse.
Cabins:
We usually book the least expensive cabins since we spend most of our time on the sundeck or in common areas. However, upgraded rooms (larger space, better windows) are available.
Note: Lower-cost cabins sell out first. Main Deck Category C rooms are already sold out due to group bookings.

Flights & Travel Tips You can fly into one city and out of another.
Recommended options:
● Fly INTO Amsterdam
● Fly OUT OF :
○ Paris (bullet train from Strasbourg), OR
○ Frankfurt (bus from Strasbourg), OR
○ Travel together by rental van or extend your stay in Germany. Some of us are planning to fly into Amsterdam and out of Frankfurt, with a few extra days in
Germany at the end.
Cruise boarding and departure times for flight planning:
May 17: Boarding begins (official arrival ~6:00 PM)
○ Late arrivals are okay—even the next morning if your plane is delayed
○ We stay on the boat overnight the first night in Amsterdam and tour there the first day
May 23: Departure at 9:00 AM

Optional Cruise Add-Ons
Most excursions are included, but there are three optional paid add-ons .
I’ll likely do two of the three (skipping the Dutch museum).
See the website for full details and pricing.
Consider Extending Your Trip
● Arriving early to adjust to jet lag and explore Amsterdam: we are doing Corrie Ten Boom
● Staying later to visit Germany, Paris, or other nearby destinations
