If an out of state student needs to have their test result completed earlier than the 72 hours prior to arrival on campus due to PA state entry requirements, the College will accept the earlier test result and the student should upload the test result in the link that will be provided in the next communication.

Students should contact testing sites to find out testing options in their area as well as processing time for tests so they can submit their negative test result before their arrival to campus.

Students who cannot find testing options can contact studenthealthservices@mtaloy.edu for guidance.

Students who have tested positive for COVID-19 within ninety days of their scheduled move-in date will need to provide a record of their positive test results (that includes their name and the date the test was administered) in order to move in. Students will be provided with a link where they can upload their test results.

Students that have received at least one dose of the vaccine before their scheduled arrival time will have the test requirement waived. All students that have received at least one dose of the vaccine will need to provide proof of the vaccine.

Soft quarantine has been defined by the College as a time period where students will be allowed to leave their room for essential activities but remain on campus.

Essential activities as defined by the College include:

Students should contact residence life to arrange pick-up times for books they ordered from the bookstore. More information will be provided in later communication. In addition students should refrain from visiting offices during their soft quarantine and use email or phone to contact offices instead.

You can arrange a time to pick up books from the Reslife mailroom after you have arrived on campus, please keep in mind the mailroom is only available for scheduled pick-ups M-F 9:00am to 4:30pm.

Only new students (first time at MAC) will be allowed to bring one guest to help them move-in to keep and maintain a low density on campus.

Residence Life will reach out to students who currently have a vacancy in their room or suite with more information about the process and options for each vacancy.

Students who do not complete the requirements outlined by the College will not be allowed to return to the residence halls.
