Point Reyes Summer Camp 2021

This summer, due to the ongoing pandemic, we will not be able to provide overnight camp at the Clem Miller Environmental Education Center as in the past. Instead, we will offer a number of small-group backpacking trips as an alternative. Distanced outdoor experiences are the safest way to gather, and during camp participants will practice new skills, build confidence, and learn about the natural history of the Point Reyes peninsula while immersed in the natural beauty of the Seashore.

After meeting at Bear Valley, backpacking groups will spend 4 days and 3 nights hiking and camping in the Point Reyes National Seashore, visiting Coast Camp, Glen Camp, and Wildcat Camp for one night each.

The total distance traveled during the session will be approximately 20 miles with a maximum of 7.5 miles hiked during the most challenging day. Groups will be limited to 12 participants and will be required to follow COVID-safe practices throughout the trip.
