Student participation in class activities is inconsistent. The student needs to be reminded more than twice to stay on task or to use appropriate behavior during class.

Student participates less than ½ of the class period, and demonstrates lack of self-discipline with a negative attitude towards other students and/or the teacher.

Student demonstrates little to no effort in the day’s activities and portrays a negative attitude towards other students and/or the teacher.

6.        Classroom Policies and Rules:  Students are expected to exhibit a proper work ethic and responsibility in the classroom.  Disciplinary actions will be taken if students violate policies as stated in the student's handbook and/or the following physical education policies & rules.  This may include loss of points, loss of privileges, administration intervention, and/or loss of credit for the course.

Weights

  • Demonstrate proper lifting technique.
  • Safety video and safety quiz. (Spotting, clamps, etc.)
  • Identify the dangers of lifting without proper tech, proper safety equipment and alert spotters.
  • To develop and increase muscular strength and overall fitness

 

Walking Class

  • To develop and increase overall fitness level.
  • To recognize the value of Physical activity for lifelong health, enjoyment and social interaction.

Soccer Class

  • Develop an understanding of the rules and team play involved in soccer.
  • Learn the importance of strategy as it relates to success.  
  • Learn the value of teamwork as they work closely with one another.
