Science:
I know these times are trying for all of us but try to make the most of each day with your kids. I miss seeing their smiling faces and the laughs we share throughout the day. I understand that some of you do not have internet access, but there are still reviews on USA Test Prep online. If you only have internet access on your phone, your child can still do the reviews or just simply watch the videos on USA Test Prep, http://studyjams.scholastic.com/studyjams/jams/science/index.htm, or Crash Course Kids Science on YouTube. Enjoy the sunshine and stay safe!
I have assigned The Solar System and the Universe Questions, Vocabulary, Performance Task, and Videos. I am asking that each student get 80% or higher on each assignment.

Reading Literature and Language:
- With school being closed, I would like for students to focus on IXL and Common Lit. When we return, wewill focus on citing evidence from the text, comparing and contrasting elements in a story, figurative language and multimedia elements and what they add to a story.. Each student has a list of vocabulary words in their binder. We will take a test on List 13 on March 26, 2020. (We will NOT do spelling for the remainder of the school year). These words are on quizlet (just copy and paste the link below). We will continue working in centers. The centers will consist of an ELS test review (where I will review the practice test they have taken for me), ELS test practice, writing, IXL and common lit. Please encourage your child to highlight where they find their answers in the passage.
