The International Club will meet

LAST CALL! Artwork for the upcoming Juried Art Show at FHS will be accepted through Friday of this week.  If you’ve got something you’d like to include, swing it by the art rooms before Friday.  All first semester art students are urged to participate.

Reminder off-campus CCP students: Have college instructor email percentage you received in 2nd semester course to your/school counselor. This will be aligned with the AP scale (when appropriate) for the corresponding grade and bonus points (senior only for bonus points). See your school counselor if you have questions.


Youth Athletic Development Plan

1.       ANY GIRL in grades 3-6 is invited to “Open Gym” on Sunday Nights from 5pm – 6pm beginning THIS Sunday, April  22 at Findlay High School main gym.  Each week this opportunity will help assist in individual and team skill development and most importantly enjoying the game of basketball.

 

2.           ANY boy in grades 3-6 is invited to “Open Gym” on Sunday nights at Findlay High School main gym from 6pm – 7pm.

 

3.            “Save the Date”  Findlay Youth Travel Basketball Tryouts for boys and girls.  Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018.  (attached) Save the Date

On Sunday, April 29th, the City of Findlay will be hosting the first local official World Cubing Association speedcubing competition right here at the high school, called Flag City Spring 2018. The competition has 8 events ranging from a regular Rubik’s Cube to a 12-sided Rubik’s cube, and even solving a Rubik’s cube with your feet! Competitors can register online -but, Findlay High School Students, employees and other Findlay City Schools students or faculty can walk-in without registering and try out the basic 3x3 competition for just $5 instead of $15! Or just come watch the fun, spectators get in free! If anyone has any questions, please see the student organizers Braden Richards and Steven Wintringham, or Mrs. Siebeneck.

Attention current Juniors: The Flag City BalloonFest Scholarship is now available. This $1,000.00 scholarship is open to current juniors with a 3.25 or higher cumulative GPA who foster community pride and service to the Findlay area. We will be offering  athletic physicals for INCOMING FRESHMAN (CURRENT 8TH GRADERS) - INCOMING SENIORS (CURRENT 11TH GRADERS) on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm in the Main Gym.  Cost is $10 and can be paid in cash or check payable to Findlay City Schools.  Please print a packet off of Final Forms and bring with you for Dr. to complete.

Attention Parents of Juniors:

State law requires that all incoming Seniors receive the Meningitis vaccination prior to the start of school in the fall. If your student has already had the vaccination, please be sure to provide proof of vaccination to the school nurse ASAP. If your student has not had the meningitis vaccination, please schedule an appointment to do so ASAP and provide proof of vaccination to the school nurse.

Please consider nominating an individual for Trojan on the Year.

•Anyone who is an employee of Findlay City Schools and works with high school students in any capacity may be nominated (teachers, secretaries, aides, custodians, cafeteria workers, administrators, bus drivers, coaches, advisors, etc.).

•This award is based on the demonstration of virtues in one’s life.  These virtues are listed at the link below.

•A nominator’s written recommendation is the main source of information for selection. Therefore, please be as complete as possible in writing your recommendation.

•Please submit your nomination for TROJAN OF THE YEAR by Monday, May 7, 2018.
