Staff Team Title: After-School Program (ASP) caregiver

Staff Team Function: The caregiver position in the ASP at The Gathering Church will provide a safe and fun learning environment for every child in their care.

Reports to: ASP Program Director and Site Director

FLSA Status: Hourly-Non-Exempt Part-Time

Job Overview: The role of TGC ASP caregiver is to provide a safe and fun learning environment for our ASP Ministry. Our ministry includes grades Kindergarten - 6th grade.

Qualifications: The ASP caregiver should adhere to Christian beliefs. This person must have a high school diploma or equivalent, have had experience in working with children, demonstrate a basic love for children, be in good health, able to bend, stoop, lift and physically take care of children, and be at least 18 years of age.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. There may be alternatives to the qualifications as the ASP Program Director deem appropriate.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The successful candidate must be a Fully Devoted Christ-follower, called and dedicated to the ministry of children and parents and fully support the ministry of The Gathering Church and its leadership team. This individual’s commitment to Christ will be evidenced in their personal life, family relationships, and ministry. Incumbents daily walk with God will be an example to the children, parents and others with which (s)he interacts.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as in team environments.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. It is a non smoking environment.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS: This position is classified a part-time support staff and does not include vacation, sick-leave, or other benefits afforded to full-time personnel. The intent of the part-time status is to not exceed 32 hours per week. Social Security taxes will be withheld and matched by the church. This position reports to and is supervised by the ASP Director, but employment is through The Gathering Church.
