Lloyd Bonner Wilson

June 5, 1947 - September 17, 2018

    Lloyd Bonner Wilson, 71, was born in Concord, NC and grew up in Washington, DC.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968. He received a B.B.A. from the University of Kentucky (1973) and an M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University (1975).

   Wilson worked in various fields including transportation and healthcare administration, with extensive experience working abroad. Career highlights include serving as the program manager and team leader for the World Health Organization’s Global Program on AIDS in Uganda. Additionally, he held  positions in both Kenya (Mombasa Peugeot) and Saudi Arabia (Hospital Corporation of America), and taught business courses aboard U.S. warships through the Navy’s Program for Afloat College Education. He also contributed articles on international marketing and management administration to professional journals.

   Wilson maintained a lifetime interest in theater, as an actor and member of the Piedmont Players in Salisbury, NC, and Blount County Community Theatre in TN. He also earned the title of master gardener in Monroe County, IN. His hobbies included gardening, hiking, travel, writing, reading and theater.

   Lloyd is preceded in death by parents Frank Elmore Wilson of Knoxville, TN, and Esther Coleman Hambley of Salisbury, NC; and his beloved hounds Emily, Margaret, Henry, Earl and Olive. He is survived by wife Marion Frank-Wilson of Schweinfurt, Germany; former wife Anne Suber Wilson; sister Juliette Smith; son James Wilson; daughter Marianne (Chris Blose) Wilson; and hound-family Annie, Lilly, and Evie.

  There will be a private family service and green burial in Bloomington, IN. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to
 Bloomington Animal Shelter, 3410 S. Walnut St., Bloomington, IN 47401.
