REPENTANCE
It’s a lifestyle of Transformation!
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Pastor Paul's message on Dec 26, 2021, convicted me, as well as this video of Jordan Peterson that I watched 2 days earlier. The word "Repent" seems to be the operative word I heard the Holy Spirit saying to me when I heard Paul's message and what Jordan Peterson had shared.
I realized, there is no "Revival" without repentance. There is no repentance without prayer. It begins with an individual.
We need not pray for revival. We need to pray that God would grant us repentance.
Romans 2:4 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?
James 4:6 But He gives greater grace. Therefore He says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. 7 Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, double-minded people! 9 Be miserable and mourn and weep. Your laughter must change to mourning and your joy to sorrow. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.

Repentance as a lifestyle of Transformation and Spiritual growth!
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Repentance? The call to repentance is not just to a single act that demarcates a transition from darkness to light. It is a lifelong process of birth and then growth. To repent is to change your mind. To agree with the truth that is in Christ Jesus. Jesus said in John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Paul says in Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and prove what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
Repentance is not just asking God for forgiveness and turning away from your sin; it is also turning to the Lord and embracing the truth. Let us approach the throne of God with a heart of repentance, with humility, and a desire to know God’s Heart and Mind, to know what he thinks and how He feels about the issues of our life. So that we might know the truth, and the truth will set us free. That we might recognize and understand God’s guidance by the Holy Spirit. And by our Faith (trust and obedience), glorify Him.
He has called us to be overcomers!
I believe God is calling us to repentance. I certainly know He is calling me to wake up and repent.
