SAT Test Prep Course: What Can It Do For You?

  1. One of the advantages of a classroom course is the live interaction with an instructor and other students during the school day as a part of your high school course work. That means you don’t have to stay after school for an additional SAT Prep class or follow an online program outside of school on top of your course load.

  1. Many SAT prep courses are not free of charge. Classroom SAT prep classes generally cost around $500.00 to $1,000.00 or more for approximately 30 to 40 hours of coursework. Since the SAT Prep course at Morris Hills is offered as an elective, there is no cost to be enrolled.

  1. The SAT Prep course will help students familiarize themselves with various aspects of the test. Students will review all the skills and knowledge they will need for the math, reading and writing sections. The course will also cover the types of questions asked and offer test-taking strategies to help avoid common mistakes, manage test anxiety, and make the most of testing time.

  1. Students will take THREE full length tests during the semester to gauge their progress and improvement.

  1. The results of any class are, in part, determined by what you put into it and what your personal capabilities and limits are; however, the SAT prep class does its best to assist you in raising your score. We have had a number of students improve their SAT scores by over 150 points overall. That’s in line with what classes like Kaplan and Princeton Review guarantee.

  1. In addition to the standard classroom course, your teachers will offer extra practice using various online programs.
