Why I Am Running for Public Office

I have always seen my role in elected office as a form of service and ministry. I ran for office because I wanted to help those around me and represent our conservative principles. I believe each of us is called to serve and I am honored to be given the opportunity to do so in this way.

Goals If Elected

My primary goal is to continue to fight and deliver for House District 58. Lower taxes, protecting private property, and protecting our freedoms are some of my priorities. We have a great community here in Johnson and Bosque Counties and we need to continue to grow while also protecting the values of our community.

Areas to Concentrate On

We must address skyrocketing property taxes that families are burdened with across Texas. This involves giving serious attention to our failing school finance system and working to identify other ways to lower taxes, including ending state unfunded mandates. Protecting private property rights is also one of my priorities and I will work on behalf of landowners to do that. Through serving on the Texas House Natural Resources Committee, I also see the need for our legislature to plan for growing water issues and set clear rules that protect the rights of landowners.
