i4 Insurance Talent (i4insurancetalent.com) is working closely with a rapidly growing international InsurTech firm. This high tech firm is looking for a full time permanent DATA GOVERNANCE INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER (DGIE) WITH 2+ YEARS EXPERIENCE. This is a full-time permanent REMOTE position ALWAYS. This position is open to all qualified professionals domiciled in the U.S.

WHY THIS JOB

This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in the technical support of the data governance (DG)  practice of a highly successful, well-funded InsurTech. You will work closely with data and analytics specialists including data engineers (DEs), machine learning engineers (MLEs), product management, and more reporting directly to IT Operations leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• configure, maintain, extend, document, and continuously improve all aspects of the technical platform of the company’s DG framework as required by various initiatives and projects
• work closely with the office of the CDO to contribute to the company’s DG framework
• provide lead technical support for all things governing data including discovery, definition, curation, compliance, meta/reference/master data, stewardship, security, quality, lineage, retention, ownership, access, observability, integrity, completeness, self-service, productization, workflow/process/integration optimization/automation, personalization, auditability, etc.
• serve as the primary SME for the company’s DG technical platform

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• 2+ years DG industry experience as an architect, analyst, engineer, infrastructure engineer, and/or steward
• willingness to receive technical support training as needed on the company’s DG technical platform
• excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
• excellent business social skills

WHAT GIVES YOU AN EDGE

• 2+ years hands-on infrastructure engineering experience with at least one popular DG platform, e.g. Alation, Infogix, Collibra, Axon, Ataccama, etc.
• university/polytechnic degree/diploma in Computer Science, Digital Engineering, or similar field
• 2+ years DG infrastructure engineering experience supporting Property & Casualty and/or Specialty insurance

Compensation and Benefits

• $110K - $160K (USD) base compensation depending on qualifications PLUS 20% bonus
