As members of Bread and Roses Chorus, we affirm our commitment to the chorus, to the music-making process, and to one another.

We recognize that each individual member makes a unique contribution to the group, and that when one of us is missing, the whole group is diminished.

We therefore agree to support the group, and one another by:

1.  Arriving to rehearsal on time: prior to and prepared to sing by 5:45.

2.  Attending rehearsals regularly to facilitate the music-making process for everyone.

3.  Learning all music in a timely fashion using rehearsal notes and recordings.

4.  Minimizing conversation during rehearsal time.

5.  Silencing phones.

6.   Using good hygiene and refraining from using perfume.

7.  Marking planned absences on the attendance sheet. Text or call

     Director if the absence is the day-of. (See Directory for her info.)

* Please note:

• Members who miss three or more rehearsals before a given performance are required to discuss the situation with the director to examine their readiness and demonstrate their proficiency to determine if they can perform that semester.

• Members are expected to commit to the Technical and Dress rehearsal dates as part of the concert performance. If they cannot, the Director should be informed as soon as possible and their privilege to perform at the concert will be reviewed by the Board. We understand extenuating circumstances and this does not apply to things like illness or emergencies. In those cases, the Director would still like to be informed, as soon as the singer is able. Please understand that every singer's attendance in each of these rehearsals is critical as we need to do final run throughs of each piece, check balance, recording levels, mic placement, and stage direction.
