How many years have you been part of the MCC community?

AlhamduLiLaah, I’ve been part of MCC for 10+ years as a Musalee, MCCSS Quran Teacher, Volunteer in the Ramadan program, and coordinated a few yearly events.

What do you enjoy most about MCC?

AlhamduLiLaah, MCC does fantastic programming, and I benefit a lot, especially from programs such as:

• Qari Amar’s Quran & tajweed classes, Qari Amar Ramadan Taraweeh, and Fajr programs.
• Our Friday Khateeb and visiting Scholars are profoundly spiritual and practical. I look forward to every Khutbah and those events.
• MashaALLAH, amazing Community service: MCC provides the most needed families with the Food Pantry, Ramadan Zakat, Car Donations, Mental Health programs, and the ongoing youth Halaqa
• Yearly Mawlid programs, Isra-&-Meraj, MCCSS Quiz program

What do you think can be improved about MCC?

• As we all see, our community is growing, and there are some challenges. The area that needs improvement and focus is Aqidah and cultivating adab in our youth by running a few regular programs and inculcating foundational Islamic knowledge. (Schedule one Friday Khutbah with one Khateeb to do a series on Aqidah, Ahsan, and foundational knowledge.)
• An essential Hifz-ul-Quran program at MCC would be a dream, in Sha’A ALLAH; this service can be a big-time achievement for MCC. Alhamdulillah, we have world-class Qari/Hafez, and this program can bring our youth to connect with the Quran.
• Leadership programs for youth and community by inviting successful people to the MCC facility and planning seminars.
• Continuing the excellent programs like Sisters Halaqa and New Convert programs.
• I look forward to working on Funeral Services (either at MCC or collaborating closely with Masajids and organizing a field trip for young adults to learn about the Funeral process).

What kind of positive impact will you bring to MCC?

If elected (in Sha’A ALLAH), I will continue the work I am currently responsible for, take the lead, and build the team (if needed) to execute the above-mentioned programs.
