SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. -- Shortly after the Bradley Central Bearettes claimed their ninth-straight district tournament championship they had four players named to the District 5 AAA All-Tournament team.

Anna Walker was declared the tournament MVP and Jamaryn Blair, Cambree Mayo, and Hannah Lombard joined her on the team.

Walker posted 14 points and seven rebounds per game for the Bearettes. The junior post was 10-of-28 (35 percent) from the floor and was 38 percent (5-for-13) from behind the 3-point line. Walker was 3-for-4 from the free throw line.

Blair recorded 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. The sophomore point-guard had nine assists in the two games while going 35 percent (6-for-17) overall. Blair was 2-of-5 (40 percent) from distance.

Mayo had 8.5 points and a rebound a game. The junior guard shot an impressive 4-for-6 (66 percent) from the floor, 3-for-5 (60 percent) behind the 3-point line, and a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe, including a 4-for-4 night in the championship game. Mayo had a team-high four steals in the tournament.

Lombard rounded out the All-Tournament team for the Bearettes averaging four points and 4.5 rebounds a game.

You can catch these Bearettes and the rest of the team in action on Friday as they take on White County at 7 p.m. in the Region 3 AAA quarterfinals. The game is being played in Jim Smiddy Arena since Bradley was able to make it to the district championship game.
