USING THE SAILBOT AUTO START HORN/TIMER
APP SETUP:
The horn can be manually controlled or through an Android or IOS app. Search for the “sailbot” app and install it. The horn is controlled by Bluetooth so make sure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
CONNECT APP TO HORN:
After the app is setup and loaded then lets press the horn's Power Button. It should light up blue.
Now go back to the app and press the “Connect” button. Once connected you will see that a battery replaces the “Connect” button. You can tap the “Horn” button for a test, be careful it's loud.
By default the app will load with the 5 Minute Rule 26 start. This is the start you probably want to use. You can click the down arrow next to the rule to see all the other available starts.
If this is your first time using the app you can turn the horn’s power back off and then the app will simulate when the horn sounds through your phone.
Make sure the air valve is open and the charging port is covered when in use.
To start a race you will click the “5:00” start button and it will count down 3, 2, 1 and then give 5 short horn sounds as a courtesy warning, then 5 more seconds will pass and then the single “Class Warning” horn will sound.
TO START A RACE:
Keep the unit off when not in use. Use the MANUAL HORN button on the horn or in the app for all sounds other than the start sequence.
CHARGE THE BATTERY:
STORE IN A DRY LOCATION ONLY, preferably the clubhouse.
If you need service on the unit go to https://www.sailbotstarter.com the user manual should be on our website and in this RC guide book.
