Old Business:

--Follow up on the FAA Hearing event held April 11th and 12th.  Opposition for the Spaceport to come to the county was approximately 2-1 with most opposition representing Cumberland and Little Cumberland property owners.  You can direct individual comments to Stacy M. Zee, Environmental Specialist, FAA to faacamdenspaceporteis@leidos.com.   Or mail to Ms. Stacy M. Zee, Environmental Sepcialist; FAA; c/o Leido, 2109 Air Park Road SE, Suite 200, Albuquerque, NM  87106.  The deadline has been extended to June 18th.

--Meeting Location discussed again.  The PSA can only commit for May at this time.  Also, need to find out if there is a fee for using that facility.  Sheriff’s Substation was mentioned, we would all be safe, but Rachel said it was dreary and small.  The primary objective for new meeting space is to accommodate table and chairs for precinct teams to collaborate and work on precinct lists and projects as well as room to grow more members to do the work of the party.  Access to flat screen or display is also desirable.  We will meet at the Best Western for May, the discussion was tabled until next month.

--Grits n Bits tentative dates:  all on Saturday mornings:  May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18, September 15, October 20, November 17, December 15, 2018.  We are hoping that there will be a forum with Jason Spencer, Incumbent and Steven Sainz for the House Representative, District 180.  More news to follow with regards to that.

New Business:

--We had a nice evening with the Guest Speaker, Josh McKoon running for Secretary of State.  Spoke key points on Job creation and voter integrity, reducing over-regulating numerous professional licenses.

--Rachel talked about assigning duties to Precinct Chairs, and has a list of duties for each precinct, as well as a precinct assignment agenda.  Motion to accept the assignment agenda made by Rachel was made by Jim Burnham and was seconded by Mike Harris to accept this as a rough draft to set-up and organize and put on calendars, it passed. It was then mentioned to put the annual dinner and conventions on this agenda.  A motion to accept the Chairs duties was made by Rachel Baldwin and a second by John Steele, it passed to accept this list.

--Participation in Cities Day:  4/20 @ noon to 4/21 @ noon, join the Teen Republicans at Scrubby Bluff Road.

--Jeremy spoke about setting another Facebook page to advertise the Party.  The current page is limited and doesn’t have the reach that Jeremy can help the Party find with a new page on Facebook.  A motion to create and generate made by Mike Harris and 2nd was Sharon Viellenave, motion passed.  Motion to close current Facebook page with in 30-45 of the opening of the new page was opposed.  So then Jason Spencer pointed out that it would be better to close old page after the November elections.  The motion to accept that was made by Jim Burnham and a 2nd by Cindy Walters, motion passed.

--The scholarship committee was looking to add one more member.  Mike Harris volunteered to help out, with Col. Frizzell and Rachel Baldwin.
