Success criteria:

• I can recognise how many “groups of” are in the question
• I can multiply by 2’s and 5’s
• I can find the number question in the word question

1. James has 6 pairs of socks. How many socks does he have altogether?

The answer is 12

2. Jenny has 5 bags of lollies with 5 lollies in each bag. How many lollies does she have all together?

Jenny has 25

3. There are 2 flowers in a garden. Each flower has 8 petals. How many petals are there all together?

There are 16 petals

4. There are 5 cupcakes. Each cupcake has 3 candles. How many candles all together?
