The after school program will be on Tuesday for our grade 4 & 5 students. The pick-up time is 3:30 p.m. Students MUST have rides prearranged in order to stay.
-Thank you for your tremendous support once again this year with our vegetable hamper fundraiser. We raised $2480.60 which will assist us in purchasing new classroom furniture.
-Thank you to all who sent along donations for the Terry Fox Foundation. A total of $318.05 was raised!
-Thank you to our volunteers for preparing smoothies for our staff and students for our ‘Walk to Breakfast’. They were delicious! To date, we have collected a total of $1906.90, which includes donations from businesses. We are very grateful!
-Thank you to all our volunteers, cafeteria ladies and staff who helped make our turkey dinner a success!
Congratulations to all our Harvest Fest runners! Our students did a fantastic job running. We would like to acknowledge Ezri Loder for placing 1st in the Grade 3 Girls competition, Fayth Welsh for placing 1st in the Grade 4 Girls competition and Ava Ke for placing 2nd in the Grade 6 Girls competition! Way to go!!
There will be NO school on Monday, due to the observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Scholastic Fall Book Fair:
Our annual Fall book fair is scheduled to begin with Family Night on Monday, October 21st from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will remain open until Friday, October 25th at 12:00 p.m. All classes will have the opportunity to visit the book fair throughout the week.
As in the past, students are not permitted to pass out Halloween treats to other students, due to allergies in our school.
There will be NO school for students on Oct. 28th for the Western Region of NLESD . All schools in our region will be closed on this date for staff professional learning.
Harbour Breeze News:
This week the winner of the ‘Free Meals’ contest is Jonathon Newhook in Grade One. To be eligible, students must have ordered lunch at least once during the week. Congratulations!
