2021 SS Griffin Seeber (Baldwinsville Swarm)

Athletic frame; slightly open stance with bat rested on shoulder. Quiet timing mechanisms. Worked a walk and hard groundout. Steady defender, average but accurate arm; two standout defensive plays (slow roller and redirect groundball on a hit & run).

2B Jack Hoctor (Rochester Rattlers)

Average frame with athleticism; slightly open setup with quiet timing. An inside-out swing path that is consistent. Punched a basehit through in his last AB, scored a run.

CF Alex Minnehan (Rochester Rattlers)

Athletic frame; even setup in the box with repeatable timing (quiet). Short into the zone swing path with pull side extension; 2-run go-ahead triple to the left-center gap in the 7th. Runs well out of the box; stole home on a 1st and 3B pickoff attempt.

Jake Dunn (Rochester Rattlers)

Above average athletic frame in the 6-foot-1 range. Slightly open stance with heel up during pre-pitch. Short, balanced stroke at the plate; 2 basehits and a lineout to CF. Battled during his AB; zone awareness.

SS Walker Wright (Rochester Rattlers)

Lean, athletic frame. RHH sets up even in the box. 3-for-3 in game two on Saturday with a double and two singles. Long strides, covers ground easily. Showed lateral range making a few tough plays in Sunday morning’s quarterfinal.

3B Chris Sleeper (Rochester Rattlers)

Athletic build in the 6-foot-1 range. Slightly open setup with a sweeping swing through the zone with a balanced finish. Two doubles and a single in game 2 on Saturday. On the mound 80-82 MPH with tons of action from a low 3/4 slot. Flashed a 10-4 tilting breaking ball with slider feel at 69 MPH.

RHP Nick Provenzale (Grow2Pro)

Long, rangy frame in the 6-foot-1 range with plenty of projection. Long arm swing working through a low ¾ slot at 76-78 MPH, touching 79 MPH. Flashed a lateral action slider with occasional tilt at 65-67 MPH. Got touched up on FB in the middle of the plate but there is a high ceiling on the bump.

2B Max Odum (Gaffers Baseball)

Wiry, athletic RHH that sets up with an open stance featuring some pre-pitch bat waggle. Short, compact stroke with extension through the middle of the field. Booming double to right center, runs well out of the box.

2020 1B Jonathan Haines (Gaffers Baseball)

Strong frame; open and upright stance with a hanging stride foot for timing. Moderate swing path with an elevated finish. Aggressive mindset; RBI double to left center and a walk in game 1. Once timing is consistent he’ll do some serious damage.

OF Daniel Hirsch (Gaffers Baseball)

Long frame at 6-foot-3 with plenty of room for physical gains. On top of the plate with deep crouch setup. RBI double to left-center and a RBI single. On base all 4 times with a walk and E6.

OF Matt Coon (Gaffers Baseball)

Physical presence in the box; strong lower half. Even setup, closes off on stride but otherwise stays quiet with timing. Two walks, a line out and a hard hit line drive single in game one.

2021 1B/LHP Brian Reinke (Smash It Sports)

Athletic, physical frame LHH that starts with an open stance. Some inside-out tendencies within his swing but gets the barrel out. A single, an opposite field double, 2 RBIs, 2 BB and 3 runs scored in his second game of the day Saturday.

2021 1B/3B Ty Szalkowski (Smash It Sports)

6-foot-1 195 pound frame; closed off stance with bat resting on the shoulder; tough out at the plate with steady defense at 3B. Showed an accurate arm across the diamond with carry. Continued his efforts into Sunday’s quarterfinal with a line out to CF, 1B, BB and a stolen base.

2020 OF/LHP Jake Humes (Smash It Sports)

Impressive 6-foot-3 195 pound frame with squared off shoulders; even setup at the plate with some pre-pitch bat waggle. Hands stay inside contact well; scored 2 runs and had a RBI single in game 2. Effortless defender in CF; gliding actions to the ball with good reads off the bat. Continued to swing a hot stick in Saturday’s quarterfinal going 2-for-2 with a 3B, Sac Fly, 3 RBI and a run scored.

2021 OF Sam May (Baseball U)

Athletic frame, 5-foot-9 165 pounds. Slight open stance with a slight bat wiggle. Hands are quick to the zone with a flat barrel. Slight power projection. Hit a double and a 3 run HR to tie the game early on. Showed an above average arm throwing a runner out at third base from the CF warning track.

2021  RHP Anthony Lapine (Baseball U)

Slight, wiry build with a whippy arm from a low ¾ arm slot. Works down in the zone with movement at 74-75 MPH with 68 MPH slider that featured some late bite. At the plate; open setup with a simple line drive approach.

Sammy Rapp SS/2B (Smash it Sports)

Average, athletic frame. Defensively- has solid footwork pre-pitch, fields the ball out front with smooth hands. Average arm across the field. Made a couple tough plays showing good use of his back hand. Footwork at times can get a bit choppy into the ball. Skill set is there.

Derrick Lewis RHP (Gaffer Baseball)

Tall/slim, athletic build. Stands 5-foot-10. From the windup, has a rocker step to a slight leg tuck. Uses his lower half well getting full extension to the plate. Release is from the ¾ arm slot. FB sat 79-80 topping out at 81 MPH with some slight run. CB was 68-69 MPH; at times showed 12-6 movement. Worked down in the zone. Gave up no runs in 4 innings of work with 4 K’s.

Nick Wilson 3B (Nickel City)

Thick build standing 5-foot-11 220 pounds. Showed great work with the glove, making plays to the backhand and forehand effortlessly. Suitable left side arm. Footwork is there needs slight improvement with staying active pre pitch. Offensively slightly open stance with quiet hands. Squared up a few balls to the outfield resulting in line drive outs including a sac fly to deep RF.

C Gavin Borrello (Nickel City)

Solid defender with an lean, athletic frame. Efficient catch and release with on-the-bag accuracy. Balanced approach at the plate; hard single and scored a run in quarterfinal game Sunday.

2021 RHP Tyler Procious (Nickel City)

Athletic frame in the 5-foot-11 range; long arm action from a standard ¾ slot. Sat 72-74 MPH and he was around the zone all day. Mixed a late action tilting slider at 65-64 MPH.

Kyle Korrie RHP (CNY Naturals)

Lean athletic frame. On the mound, Korrie had a FB sitting 73-76 topping out at 77 MPH. His CB has a late, tight break to it. Proved that he could throw it for a strike early on in the game at 63-66 MPH. Korrie gave up 2 hits and recorded 7 K’s through 5 innings pitched.

Chris Auclair LHP (B’VILL Swarm)

Big frame that stands 6-foot-3 weighing 210 pounds. From the wind up Chris sets up on the left side of the mound, takes a slight rocker step into a slight leg tuck to his chest. Closes off some but helps with hiding the ball. FB was 72-74 topped out at 75 MPH. Showed use of his cutter down in the zone. The breaking ball had sweeping slider like movement coming in at 63-67. CH sat 66-68. Painted corners down in the zone resulting in weak ground ball outs.

Bryce Collis RHP/1B (CNY Naturals)

Stocky build with a 5-foot-11 frame. Bryce has a tight leg tuck to about waist high, getting extension to the plate. He was able to command the zone all game, with a FB that sat 72-74 touching 75 MPH twice. CB was at 55-57. Was able to throw the sweeping curve in the dirt which helped him record 8 K’s on the day.

2020 Ryan Cardone RHP/3B (CNY Naturals)

Average frame with muscular build coming in at 5-foot-11. Offensively stands in the right side of the box with slightly open stance. Cardone has slight bat movement pre pitch and uses a short stride to the ball for timing. Showed quick hands at the plate hitting a line drive into the left center gap for an RBI triple. Barreled up another ball to deep right field for a sacrifice fly recording a second RBI. On the mound his FB sat 76-79 touching 80 MPH twice. Pitched a complete game with 11 K’s giving up just 3 runs in the championship game. Earned the Champions Events MVP

LHP Itai Spinoza (Syracuse Sports Zone-Academy Black)

Well built athletic frame with broad shoulders, stands 5-foot-6. From the windup, gets full extension to the plate with tilt. Has a high leg kick towards first base, uses lower half well. FB sat 78-81 topping out at 82 MPH. Fastball have above average movement away from RHH. CB was 64-68 MPH with tight sweeping movement that breaks late in the zone. Had a good day at the plate reaching base 3 times with 2 walks and a double in the RC gap.

3B Alex Wooten (Team PAC)

Stands 5-foot-7 with a thick build. Had quick hands to the zone with a flat barrel extending to the ball. Hit a number of gaps throughout the day with multiple extra base hits and a handful of RBIs.

C Jake Person (Syracuse Diamond Kings)

Stands 5-foot-7 with a small frame. Offensively and a smooth swing and found the barrel multiple times this weekend resulting in line drives up the middle while collecting a few RBI’s  Behind the dish, he showed solid defense blocking balls in the dirt. Arm is average.

MIF/RHP Sam Orcutt MIF/P (Team PAC)

5-foot-6 slim athletic build. Offensively stands in the left side of the box. Sam showed the use of his quick hands at the plate going to the opposite field with the ball. Had two singles in Sunday’s game and a RBI triple on saturday.  Hits for contact with average speed. At second base Orcutt came through the baseball on balls hit to him using solid footwork. Has leadership in the infield.

RHP Derrick Gutroman (Syracuse Sports Zone-Academy Black)

Slim 5-foot-7 with room to develop. FB sat 71-74 topped out at 75 MPH. Commanded the fastball around the plate. CB 63-66 with depth. Recorded 9 K’s giving up just one hit. Offensively had a day with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.

C Luis Suarez  (Syracuse Sports Zone-Academy Black)

Behind the plate Suarez showed natural mechanics. Has solid footwork with a quick release down to second. Blocked the ball efficiently this weekend keeping everything in front of him. Offensively from the left side Luis keeps his weight back and extends the barrel through the zone. Has awareness of the strike zone; walked 4 times Sunday.

1B Anthony Ramon (Syracuse Sports Zone-Academy Black)

Stocky build. Offensively swings a heavy bat through the zone. Barreled up the ball continuously throughout the day. Went 3-3 in the championship game including a double to dead center. Ramon finished with 4 RBI’s Sunday earning him the MVP.

MIF/RHP Danny Melendez  (Team PAC)

Slim build with quick legs. Offensively hits for contact with a smooth compact swing. Roped a triple into the gap, showed some speed on the base paths all weekend. On the mound FB was 66-68 touching 69 MPH. CB sat 53-55 MPH.

1B Dylan Pamlipinto (Syracuse Sports Zone-Academy Black)

Offensively stands slightly open in the box, hands are quiet pre pitch. Has a flat quick barrel through the zone. Had 3 hits in the first game sunday with 2 runs batted in with a run scored.

2023 LHP Bryce Zicaro (Sports Zone)

5-foot-10. On the mound his FB sat 68-72 topped out at 73 MPH. CB was effective (58-61). Worked down in the zone resulting in weak contact to the infield for outs.
