AUGUST 27, 2021 Campus Notification: COVID-19

On August 27  the university received notification that two individuals tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals were last on campus on August 27 at First Street Residence Hall, the Recreation Center, and the University Center where they may have been potentially infectious with the virus. The individuals were tested on August 26th.

Contact tracing was conducted and will continue. If anyone is identified as a “close contact” they will be contacted directly regarding any next steps.

We strongly encourage all members of the campus community to remain vigilant against COVID-19 by adhering to health and safety precautions designed to mitigate the spread of the virus. Additional information on staying safe can be found through your healthcare provider, The Centers for Disease Control, The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, and the Genesee County Health Department.
