Rriigkhan Plenitongue Words and Phrases

Chagour - Father (Cha for short)

charos - title for a lower status person without defining caste (polite)

chelhautah - drudge, manual labor worker. Can refer to the category of castes on the lowest end of the spectrum, or the worker themselves.

Fha'harrk - The leader of a House

Gaargkh - An early ringworld.

Garklekkaar - Lahroujel's House

Ghara/Ng'ghara (plural) - Title for a person whose caste is higher than the speaker.

Ghethar - same as above but used only by those of higher caste to someone close to, but still above them.

Ghiya Friith - Headquarters for House Narrgharitha on Waah-Fluh

Haf kauragh - Literally "God save me" but used as a very strong curse

Jhangri - Less polite form of good bye, usually said to lower castes/servants

jhekaah - female version of virility/machismo. Feminine pride.

J'kooern Thellis - Elite guards or mercenaries treated by law as if they belong to the caste of their employer

jogh - a genre defined by surreal fantasy elements, usually aimed at children

Kesh- fuck

Khanto fu’ah - Rehydrated salt meat of the tthonka, a Ssaarian lizard, served with marrow paste and in marrow bones. Sometimes with cheddar for humans.

Kheesaan - a de-sensed concubine taken from the lowest castes, or an alien

kheri - a friend from a very different caste, still implies a somewhat formal relationship

Kjarrrla Naughk-arr - "Council of Joined Voices" aka thought police

lahk - a sport

largkthe - perpetually single male, can be euphemism for gay

Ligkkh - Sorry (specifically for a mistake, not to express condolences)

Linggl - Soul, the source of love.

Luer - Horse-deer-like animals to hunt or pull a cart.

Narrgharitha - Quar's House

Nandrevigh - undefined place

N'frgauth rhethor - apology for inflicting emotional pain

Nwohl - Personal assistant/butler

Orantu - large ridable animal not native to Ssaar. From a world called Thyfasju.

Quell - 'primate' relatives of Rriigkhan, animal-intelligence, smaller, partially bipedal.

Raughhiol - A collection of Houses that adhere to the same legal framework. Roughly equivalent to our concept of a country.

Rraarohrk - A Rriigkhan military with no House allegiance.

Sath-Nghahr - Good bye/I take my leave

sthaa - a type of bagpipe in which the mouth is not used. Air is pushed through flutes with bellows operated by foot pedals. Also can mean sthaa music, a style which heavily features the sthaa and is associated with the sea. "Beach music," basically.

Sthingka - place with an ongoing war

Ssaar - Rriigkhan homeworld

Tarj - Military rank, Marshall

Tha'rith'lar - racial minority incorporated into the conquering culture a long time ago

theffr - "Honeymoon phase." Intense feelings of love and joy at the start of a new relationship.

Tsahf - polite, formal greeting between members of the same caste, essentially means "I acknowledge your presence."

tthonka - type of food animal

Waah-fluh - Ringworld Quar lived in before coming to Earth

Yaughnarr-krith - Quar's childhood ringworld home

Yth Narrfour Rii-oh Jha'haur - Society of Blood Era Combat Arts

zhekhak - Love at first sight. An intense, passionate love that sparks upon meeting.

Castes

Upper Castes: Hohntotah

Original royalty. These castes own all land and infrastructure.

Tsarkeh: One of the highest, which Quar belongs to

Ethekeh: Another high caste

Fthorr: Two castes below Tsarkeh, still considered very upper-caste.  Courtesans for Tsarkehs are commonly taken from this caste.

Middle Castes: Kharratah

Ourif: Usually work in the hospitality industry, often managers of other Kharratah.

Fherrita: Artisans, highly skilled trade workers

Delghh: Assistants who work under the direction of Ourifs

Lowest Castes: Chelhautah

Refers to the category of castes that perform drudge work/manual labor, or the worker themselves.

Jhioghra: Unskilled laborers.  Not untouchable, but still of low social standing.

Haukagh: Those without a true caste, including aliens.  The "untouchables."  Haukaghs are Rriigkhans who have been demoted from other castes, and their children for a few generations.
