OPENING PRAYER
God of wind and flames, ignite a fire in our hearts and fill us with your courage and power. On this day of Pentecost, may our young people see visions and our elders dream dreams. Blow open the doors of our shutup hearts and send us into the world to spread the good news of your saving love. Amen.

PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION
From fear and doubt, the Spirit blessed Christ’s disciples with a faith so deep that it birthed the church and changed the world. As we listen for the word of God in today’s scriptures, may the Spirit bless us and continue to change the world.
