Glenbrook Habitat For Humanity

Summer Program SLP-161

The SLP-161 HABITAT for HUMANITY Summer Program is entering it’s 14th year!!!!

What started as an outreach by 16 students and 4 adults to help pick up the pieces after Hurricane Katrina’s devastation is now a point of pride for more than 1000 students!  Each section of SLP-161 has a maximum of 22 students and 4 teachers.  The course consists of a training day, an overnight work week and a group presentation, all of which are mandatory. This unique program provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills while challenging themselves to try new things as they significantly impact the lives of Habitat families and their surrounding communities. Our Habitat affiliates are excited for our arrival this summer. They are counting on us to help them help families in need.
